If Tank is changing bodies as much as they say he is, Mike is missing some valuable time (depending on his health...) - seems like our Top 3 of 2 Chases and Reggie, along with Jacari's spot HR ability make this a strong position group. Our everydown RBs going forward will likely be thicker than in the recent past in the spread

Will we also have a FB in the backfield X% of the time?

I think Chase Brown would be a great lead back in this offense based on what Petersen and Bielema's offenses have done in past. Mixed with Peters' talent at QB and a pretty deep RB room, I think we will be okay.

Not to mention, having one of the BEST if not THE BEST O-Line in the Big Ten should help.

I think your assessment is a bit rosy. Would love to be wrong.

Eh... I like the O line, Chase Brown (I think Chase is a stud) and our RB's, and our TE's. I'm nervous about our WRs and our QB play but Peters at least has a chance to be better than what we had with Lasagna Coach. To me, the good news is that our strengths fit what Bielema usually had at Wisconsin which is strong oline, good running backs, and good te potential.

Peters I believe can be coached to be a clock manager and definitely with Williams if needed. Hopefully, down the road our QB play will improve in future years, but it is not like we have some of worse quarterbacks like having Crouch/Osei, etc.... Peters is not the worst QB in the Big 10 and Williams has a chance to be good if he can hone some things. The Receivers outside of Hightower/Navarro and the Notre Dame transfer have me nervous.

If Beason stays at WR, that is an instant boost of athleticism to the position. I believe he is also still considered a freshmen in year 3, which is crazy to believe.

I believe BB has a connection with the HS coach. A few previous star LBs that went to Wisconsin. (JJ Watt)
For sure - I assumed we would only offer a kid that highly ranked if we had a legitimate “in.” Thanks Triangle!

Dick Butkus, Ray Nitchske, Bill Burrell, Darrick Brownlow, Kevin Hardy, John Holecek, Dana Howard, J Leman, Scott Studwell, John Sullivan ...

and Shawn Murphy?

Savage list.

And Shawn, tell those paralytic loopers in South Bend to feck off. They're just a bunch of culturally appropriating eejits.
Agree. We don't have to act undeserving in recruiting a top level linebacker, or any 4 or 5 star football players for that matter.

Probably not our biggest need, but I like the depth on O-Line and having Illinois guys on the roster is a really good thing for the program right now. It helps set the foundation Coach B is trying to build. He was 1st team all conference in 18 and 19. I assume he is playing this spring and then transferring??

He is listed on the current roster so the answer appears to be yes.

O-Line is always your biggest need (this is not a joke about their size)😆

With Badovinac committing, Jerastay back and healthy, Verdis Brown having experience from starting last year, Julian Pearl improving and staff raving about him, who starts?

We have great depth at OLine but with many of these guys being seniors, why would Badonivac commit to the Illini?
