I had to leave the house during halftime and thought the game was over. What the hell.

This was my feeling too, felt like a lot of guys on D had the pursuit angles flat outrun by the PU QB more than a few times. One thing stood out - as a whole - Illinois is a slow football team.

It's definitely not hyperbole at all. Now, we just need the whole "completely turning your life around and becoming a better person after coming so close to dying" part of the Bielema era, which hopefully starts next week vs scUM!Sure, I agree with you, it's a different thing.
I do not think it's hyperbole to say that the Bret Bielema Era just had a near-death experience.
That was the plan all along. /sThat was possibly the best way to beat Purdue and Walters. Get them sky high and excited that they're going to pull off the huge upset then pull the rug out from under them at the end. Love it!
I don't really feel that. for fans, this close loss was awful. but losing to MSU and Purdue two years ago felt awful as well and we came back.Sure, I agree with you, it's a different thing.

Robert had a tweet with a video of the team running in and very close to the band, but I do not think it showed the (alleged) contact. Can anyone who was there confirm it? I shared the tweet with a friend and she's asking
They deserve to have nothing but more miraculous comebacks from 20+ down in the 2nd half, only to ultimately still lose, in heartbreaking fashion, every remaining game the rest of the season for that crap. Can't believe Walters allowed that, having been a coach here...
My eyes aren't great, but I see PU run right next to, but not through or into anyone? Still not needed, but it sounded like they pancaked someone. Did I miss it?
I would also like to nominate Ryan Day and PJ FleckSomeone posted in the game thread about Ryan Walters having the most punchable face in the big10 (apologies can’t find the exact post). I do agree, he is begging to be popped in the kisser. That said, I wanted to nominate Luke Fickell

Agreed. we got hit with a replacement no film quarterback and our d-line is average. end of story. Aaron is having a great year. People are fickle. GeezI kinda think the "fire henry" stuff is silly.
