Illinois 21, Michigan 7 Postgame

This team is never dull. They are not flashy, not a power team but they just make plays. That fake punt [got me, I actually thought it was hiked over the punters head too] turned the game around. I have 1 question-does Tunney have a play on 3rd down to pitch the ball wide for a yard? Can't keep running up the middle every play. On to Oregon, Just keep it respectable.

I mean, it's good to win, but that wasn't THE Michigan. That team was basically Michigan State.

Field rush rules

1. Remember in 1998, our school rushed in the field against MTSU. We cannot diss many schools or any generation of Illini on this issue
2. Why should we care anyway. Only snobs like scUM and NU idiot alum Mike Wilbon care.
I mean, field rushes are just outpourings of joy by a group of likeminded people. We could all use more of that these days!

we’ve had our share of QB’s just like him

wow , it feels good having Luke taking snaps for us

I still don’t understand having a cold Leary come in to throw for 2 , even tho it worked
I think that conversion attempt was supposed to be to the RB in the flat, same play we’ve successfully run several times in similar situations. But the outside defender picked up the RB and Donovan had to look elsewhere.

Such a smooth throw under the circumstances!

Not normally a what if kind of guy but 6 minutes left at Happy Valley, we're driving and in Penn State territory. Next play off sides. Play after interception. What if instead we go down, tie it up and win in OT (which we seem to do quite well)? The we beat ScUM today, making it 4 ranked teams beaten. Were we 6 minutes from being top 5 in this week's poll?

it all ended great , I just don’t understand why in that circumstance .

and chasing points unless it makes math sense and time left is of the essence is dumb

Sure, but let's also appreciate being 5-1, which would have been highly improbable before the season. Just as easily could have lost to Purdue, Nebraska and Kansas

Thing is that it made math sense, it made it where two touchdowns and extra point could only tie the game, not win it.

I would have kicked it myself, but that is why I typing on a PC at home.
