Is Yaklich still on the table. I thought he got a job somewhere.I ain't worried ... Personally, I'd rather go get an X&O Specialist for this spot, and to get even more specific ... I want Yaklich ... Always have, and I have voiced it here before ... This is the time to make it happen ...
Geoff, O, and Brad can handle the bulk of the recruiting ...

If I remember right, TA has had options for awhile before pulling the trigger to even come here. Then he’s been locked in unless a bigger thing came up..
My total guess is clash of egos between him and Orlando. Maybe it’s 2 big time recruiters both with big time aspirations, and they just haven’t clicked. Maybe TA went to Brad and Josh and said “I want/deserve an equal contract.” (To Big O)

Damn, I really like Tim. He did some great work here when things felt grim. I’m also incredibly confident in Brad bringing in another great coach.

FWIW … I’ve been told it’s not going to be Memphis barring some crazy change from Penny (which we all know is possible … Lol)
Memphis has their 3 top assistants already … Mike Davis, Nolan Smith, and Jermaine Johnson …

Last year, the B1G schedule was released on October 3rd, but it was the one of the last of the conferences to do so. So it will probably be released anytime from mid September to early October.

Last year the Big Ten schedule was released on September 19th. Now that games are starting to leak out hopefully they'll release it this week but who knows. (October 3rd last year was when times & TV were announced.) Go Illini
Edit, also couldn't hurt to follow B1GMBBall, they may give 24-hr notice of the schedule release show on BTN like they did last year.

I hope someone with serious Chicago roots or ties, or both would be better. Chi town is a basketball gold mine, we need a trusted coach to the Chicago coaching community and hs players.
Yaklich is 43 and from LaSalle originally and coached in Chicago. He probably is the most logical. What about Nick Irvin or someone like Dexter Young?
