I love Booth's potential but wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the person on the outside looking in out of that group of 10, especially if he's dead set on playing the 4. He doesn't have a standout skill that sets him apart from the competition at his spots (Hum is a better floor spacer at the 4, Morez appears to be a better athletic junk yard dog at the 5).
Booth could potentially end up being the best rim protector on the roster which would definitely earn him minutes.

Tomislav is a 7 footer and that length will provide some rim protection but he doesn't look like he elevates well. Morez looks like a great athlete but is listed at 6'8. Booth is listed at 6'10, looks like he has long arms, and can elevate.

Tickets vs Arkansas go on sale at 10 today. Does anyone know what sections are for Illini fans?

I was rewatching last year B10 tournament. I forgot how close the Ohio State (last shot) and Nebraska (down by 14 in 2nd half) were. Truly a great job by team to rally to win both games and start the Elite 8 run.

Games didn't start until we were down 10
It certainly seemed to be a pattern. I hope to see a few more fast starts this season especially with no TSJ to go on those one man runs

honestly, this alone should stop the malcontents in their tracks. not holding my breath though.

last season's success has pretty much neutered this crew, but, rest assured, they'll be back in a NY minute as soon as we hit a few bumps. just to be clear, I'm not suggesting that Brad is perfect or should be immune from criticism. it's the gloom and doomers that can pound sand

Message boards be messaging. I personally expect a recurring theme this year to be harping on how much talent there is similar to how people have hit Duke for under-performing with loaded rosters. When I think of freshman Ayo vs the guy who was drafted, or TSJ when he got here and how much he did the last month as an Illini, those players really developed into stars and NBA guys even though they were inconsistent with flashes of who'd they become along the way. The roster this year has a *lot* of talent, but a chunk of it is young, and almost none have played together. A slow start wouldn't surprise me.
