ACC? When did we move?
But UCLA second after the disaster of last year? Also, I still don't get why everyone is so high on Purdon't without their multiple time all-american.Big Ten Power Rankings: Early August edition

A Hoosier puts ILL above IND for his preseason ranking? I guess he knows what heis talking about.
To be fair, why would people would be so high on us after losing our All American, two other All Conference caliber players and only returning 14% of our minutes? But UCLA second after the disaster of last year? Also, I still don't get why everyone is so high on Purdon't without their multiple time all-american.
Remember in May/June when everyone was questioning Brad & staffs ability to put a roster together? And attacking our insiders?

I imagine Illinois will platoon Ivisic and Johnson at center and depending on matchups. Booth may also see minutes in the middle.Illini mention:
Back in late spring when Illinois had only secured Boswell, White, Booth and Humrichous from the transfer portal and still needed replacement goto 'star' players and still had other holes to fill, there were a lot of very tempting players this board would get hot about but nothing would come to fruition or Illini staff deliberately passed (refused to get into high bidding war). All the while Illinois coaches were zeroing in on 4 of the top 10 international platers and reeled 3 of them in (#1, #3 and #8). Only miss was Demin who Illinois refused to pay, especially with Jakucionis proving to be an excellent alternative. Illinois coaching staff did a fantastic bang up job with a a winning strategy and the long game in mind all along. Get this gang, there’s a new trend sweeping across college basketball. Dare I say, it’s revolutionizing the game.Illini mention:
"Everyone" implies that there were many many posts to this effect. Can you cite at least a few of them? Because my memory of May and June on this board is quite a bit different. I remember a few posts implying that our expectations might need to be tempered for the upcoming season, but not very many. I recall most being still "wait and see" on how things would go. There might have been a couple of isolated posts attacking the staff, but I recall very little of that.Remember in May/June when everyone was questioning Brad & staffs ability to put a roster together? And attacking our insiders?

Reading this, my uneducated, worst-case scenario: 13 - 7? Just a very early predictionBig Ten Power Rankings: Early August edition

Yeah I am about as excited for this year as I’ve ever been. As awesome as we were last year, I think we find a way to match or better last year. I feel like this will be a more balanced team with more talent starting as a whole, even if nobody matches TSJ.
Just always reminds me of taller Tyler Kolek. Expect similar stats and would be very happy with those.
Reading this, my uneducated, worst-case scenario: 13 - 7? Just a very early prediction
Road wins: Minny, Washington, Nebraska
Home wins: USC, Penn St, Wisky, NU, Iowa, Maryland, OSU, MSU, UCLA & PU
Road losses: Wisky, NU, RU, Duck, Michigan, MSU & Indiana
Home losses: I see zero right now
My uncertainties are: Win at Nebraska. Win vs Purdue. Loss at Michigan, NU and Wisky.
Anyone is open to chime in.
My personal take: the impressive form on the jumpshot by Ben from 25 feet, the left-handed pass to the post by Dre, the look on Kylan’s face, the hook shot which was 6 inches above a 6 foot 11 center outstretched hands by Tom and the speech by Coach looking to build unity and chemistry.
