I know these are kids but man their big men have rock fists. so many rebounds not secured, KJ probably had another 4 assists robbed by the rim on missed open layups. super excited to see him this fall with the Illinois Illini!

What many fail to realize or mention is the job Fletch does with the core. When the core of the body strengthens the way Fletch gets it to strengthen it's massive for these young men. Our program has come a very long way to say the least.
Stop it!!! He was not playing against higher quality players! The only player that popped off the screen to me was #5 on the other team. He is not a one and done player unless he transforms into a better player. He was playing against kids and he could not impose his will on them. Stop with the garbage about him being way ahead of KB
For those who missed Tyler Underwood’s last interview, I’ll try to re-hash what he said:
KJ is impressing the coaches with his strength and maturity and his desire to learn and work hard and basketball is slow to him, due to his court presence and abilities. Will Riley is a basketball savant, a rare talent that is a unique scorer. Tomislav is a welcome addition to the squad and he has played at a high level for a long time, his ability to set screens is very impressive. He has been taught that at an early level in the European leagues. Booty ball may be present, but they are going to gear an offense towards their talent level. Coach has been impressed with the defensive play of the team. He mentioned Trey and Ben possibly being a booty ball players, but with his offense, the guards will dictate the play, so it may look like a different offense from last year based on different skill sets. They are trying to get the players to take good shots and have given a premium to shot selection. They will be off for two weeks now and they haven’t had the whole team together at the same time there this summer which is something that Tyler discussed. He said that this is a different team than they’ve had in the previous eight years. Meaning that in a positive manner.

As good as Jakucionis is, what's really exciting is how much better he's going to be with 3-4 months of practice and some games under his belt. By March he should be an utter terror.

still need to watch todays game but in the first 2 i watched it was so noticable how huge of a dropoff the Lithuanian team hits when KJ is in the bench. everyone else feels sped up the entire game while its clear the game is (generally) slow for him
Love the trickery he did on one of his step back threes. Fake called a play then launched it when the defender was distracted. Chris Paul like basketball IQ vibes with stuff like that.
