It fires me up how much we operate like a top 5-10 program now. Elite recruiting, scheduling, NIL, staff payroll, facilities, etc.
Exactly what I'm thinking. The committee has made it clear that it's far better to lose to tournament teams than beat cupcakes. There's a lot of tough games, but tons of opportunities for huge resume wins and losses that won't hurt too much. Very MSU like schedule
Bunch of heavy hitters here.Reported major non-conference opponents-
Alabama in Birmingham, AL (November 20th)
Arkansas in Kansas City, MO (November 28th)
Tennessee (December 14th)
Missouri in St. Louis, MO (December 22nd)
Duke in Madison Square Garden, NYC (February 22nd)
A bunch of heavy hitters and also Missouri. (I can't list them with the others)Bunch of heavy hitters here.
This means the Ivišić twins will play each other, that's fun.
Guessing they were looking for a metro area midway between the two campuses, but there really isn't one. KC is as close as anything else.Is there a reason it is in Kansas City?? Either way, super excited for this non-conference season!!
I can imagine that was planned to create a little bit more drama for the matchup, and don’t forget OA back here too. This means the Ivišić twins will play each other, that's fun.

I think Tommygun is gonna light him up too; thus winning the battle of the brothers and proving Cal chose the wrong one. This means the Ivišić twins will play each other, that's fun.
But who could forget Chin went there?! That's the real intrigue!I can imagine that was planned to create a little bit more drama for the matchup, and don’t forget OA back here too.
I personally considered Chin leaving adding by subtraction….But who could forget Chin went there?! That's the real intrigue!
Just curious ( and I know it's early), but what would be a realistic record coming out of these five games.Reported major non-conference opponents-

Tennessee (December 14th)
Missouri in St. Louis, MO (December 22nd)

If they didn't want two games in St. Louis, then I'd just say party at @pruman91 's placeGuessing they were looking for a metro area midway between the two campuses, but there really isn't one. KC is as close as anything else.
With the Bears playing immediately before, this could be an epic sports day for many Illinois sports fans. Any family member who attempts to change the channel from CBS should expect to be slapped in the ear with a turkey leg.
I believe that Duke and Arkansas both have a lot of turnover too, so why not beat them? I don't like "realistic" numbers, because people tend to lower expectations. I go into every game, hoping and half expecting victory. Even when "overmatched" (UConn).Just curious ( and I know it's early), but what would be a realistic record coming out of these five games.
I have no clue how the new transfers and Freshmen would contribute: 2 - 3 with wins over Missouri and Tennessee?
PlusI need another scrimmage tease clip, stat! Kasparas' debut: I'm ready for it. c'mon, video guys, we're dying. feed us

#5, #7 & #10? Wow! That's a brute. And now Oakland?2-3 or 3-2. Tennessee is going to be very good but that one's at home.
Torvik Rankings (it's all we've got, okay?)
Duke - 5
Tennessee - 7
Alabama - 10
Arkansas - 48
Mizzou - 62
3-2 would be nice enough for me.
