Cardinals beat the Pirates 3-2 in 10 innings and win the series.........

John King with the win after 2 solid innings of relief................
Cardinals had some serious baserunning blunders today , especially Contreras getting thrown out trying to steal 3rd with no outs..
Masyn Winn staying at 3rd when the Pirates turned a DP.........
Donovan with a great catch in the bottom of the 10th , BUT a Pirate scored from 2nd on the catch........what ?????
Burleson with the game winning rbi single in the top of the 10th....he's such a good hitter....................
Pallante with another good outing.....................

All they have to do is win 88 games. Back into the 3rd wild card team slot and somehow someway get lucky enough to catch fire and magically win the world series.

After all,
It could happen. Granted not very often but it could happen. So why even try to compete with the elite teams year in and year out? That wastes money.

Contreras with the big HR in top of the 9th to tie the game......
Sonny Gray didn't have good stuff to start the game but settled in the last 2-3 innings of his 5 innings tonight...,
The Cardinals BP was excellent again with Helsley getting the win after having his consecutive saves streak ending.............
Arenado with 4 hits..................
Gorman with a 2-2 night and showing a new batting stance allowing him to stay on the outside pitches better.............
Goman also caught the liner and turned the DP to third in the bottom of the 10th........

Game winning run scored on a passed ball by the Nat's new catcher coming into the game in the top of the 11th..........

EPIC COMEBACK AND WIN.........................could be a defining moment in the season...............
