If we lose 1 more, I will not be thrilled, If we lose THIS game, I frwakin give up. We should beat NW going away.
What makes you think that? They had us flat out best in Evanston. We were in a world of trouble. They caved at the end, which has been a theme this year. Looking at their season, what do you see thst makes you think that we SHOULD beat them going away? This is one that I just want to get past with a check mark in the left portion of the win/loss column.

I think we will finish last 7 games 7-0. Brad knows how to get these guys to play together effectively.
I think you're high, but I really love this over-the-top confidence early in the morning.

First of all, each of the 7 remaining games is going to be tough. Given that, I think it would be prudent to hope for 4-0 at home and 1-2 on the road --- for a 15-5 finish. That should earn us two BYES in the Big10 tourney and maybe a tie for 1st place in the Big10 regular season (22-8 overall).

16-4 would be outstanding. 17-3 would be stellar.
I think that is realistic. Ofc, we all hope for better.

Check out Bobby Knight's undefeated 1975-76 Indiana squad at 18-0.
And I stand corrected.

1975 was the first year the B1G went to an 18 game schedule. Because duh, the conference had 10 teams, of course you should play everyone twice.

The Hoosier are the only team to win 17 or more games, doing the feat 3 times: 1975 (18-0), 1976 (18-0), 1993 (17-1)

The B1G played an 18 game conference schedule from 1975 to 1997 before changing to a 16 game schedule in 1998. The conference went back to 18 games in 2008 before moving to the current 20 games in 2019.

Thank you for the fact check, Deon!

How nice and relaxing would a true laugher game be at home today? I’d like to dial up an early never-look-back lead that balloons to 30+ by mid-second half where the threes rain down like a monsoon and the bench gets lots of tickle.

I likes me some exciting nail-biter wins, but we should re-establish the tradition of beating NW like a dusty blanket year after year. So it is written…

lol. Nice troll of the 'Cats. During the game they should station that trophy on a cart obstructing the tunnel to the visitors' locker room so the players have to navigate around it.
You think the basketball players will care? I'd say use it to troll the fans but Northwestern doesn't have fans.

Whenever BU publicly goes at his team, they always respond well. After the Purdue game he said they were getting soft on the boards. Guarantee we are going to kill NW on the boards today.

Good guys win 80-63. RJ with 13 pts 8 rebounds.

RJ would have to play 20 minutes or more for that to happen. That's not likely. I'm hoping to see some meaningful minutes for Podz. I'd like to get some kind of read on what this guy is capable of.

After yesterday’s results, a 16-4 finish is almost assured to win a solo conference title. Purdue has a 15% chance of running the table to finish 16-4, the remaining 4-loss teams very outside chances (2-3%).

15-5 seems almost certain to be a tie for 1st or 2nd.

Imagine being a Northwestern basketball fan traveling to an away game. I've done some ridiculous things for sports, but that is pure sicko sh*t right there.
And, on top of that, travelling to Champaign when the Illini are in first place. Self destructiveness, masochism, and a pathological level of delay-of-gratification discipline.
