So I’m guessing that you didn’t listen to press conference before posting this. I certainly didn’t get any of your “coulds” from his full comments. Basically just Brad being old school and saying old school stuff. Would he like to see more intensity? Sure what coach wouldn’t. But I got no sense that your possible conclusions were close to being right, especially the third “could.” The reporter is just trying to find an interesting and short enough sound bite to fit in a tweet. By your reaction, seems like he picked a good one.

And yes I did listen to the entire thing.

These are conditional statements. Not conclusions.

I think we struggle tonight but come out with around a 15-20pt win. I expect some salivatingly good offensive highlights, but also some very sloppy play and turnovers, and more than a few missed defensive assignments. In many ways, I almost hope we do come out struggling as it will allow the team to stay focused on improving rather than looking at amazing stat lines and getting overconfident too early in the season. Sign me up for a nice 86-70 victory with a lot still to work on

Second place is 1st loser
Uncomfortably close at half. 35-31 type of deal. We get separation at the ten minute mark of the 2nd half. Size and individual talent put a little window dressing on what was a very competitive game for 30 minutes. 75-60 good guys when the final buzzer goes off

It's going to be a sputtering start to the year, but it'll smooth out towards the end of December. There are a lot of roles to be defined. Well, pretty much every role need to be defined.

I'm kinda leaning toward giving our HC the benefit of the doubt when it comes to molding a team into a highly competitive unit that hates to lose. He has earned it.

Also, speaking of giving BU the benefit of the doubt based on his track record, each of us should be so fortunate as to find someone who loves us like Andy Katz loves the Illini.

It is still crazy seeing 18 teams in the power rankings for the B1G. Good to consistently be on the left side of that ranking list.

State Farm changed their logo color for several of the Blue Blood arenas (Look above the baskets), we shouldn't compromise our school colors for corporate sponsorship either.

Don't remember the kid but his dad could sure shoot. Holds the school record for season and career three-pointers to this day (.493 and .449). Of course, the line was closer in those days (19'9").

This is about where I would put them. A lot of unknowns concerning chemistry but that will come out in the wash. This is gonna be fun!

Anyone else have issues with BTN+? I bought the month but it doesn’t seem to recognize that when I go to watch. I think it’s because I purchase through iTunes. I remembered it happened last year too but the chat was able to fix it. They’ve changed the chat to a bot now and is no help. I’ve opened a ticket and sent an email but got a bad feeling I paid for nothing. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance!
