So I’m guessing that you didn’t listen to press conference before posting this. I certainly didn’t get any of your “coulds” from his full comments. Basically just Brad being old school and saying old school stuff. Would he like to see more intensity? Sure what coach wouldn’t. But I got no sense that your possible conclusions were close to being right, especially the third “could.” The reporter is just trying to find an interesting and short enough sound bite to fit in a tweet. By your reaction, seems like he picked a good one.Brads comments are very concerning. Could mean a few things they like each other too much. Very passive in nature. Or they just don’t care enough on the competitive end.
Maybe this will change when the games matter. But if they don’t have a competitive edge to them we will be a .500 conference team and NCAA bubble.
Time to mentally prepare to get treated by our non-conference foes and Brad going full UNDERWOOD on the side lines.

I'm kinda leaning toward giving our HC the benefit of the doubt when it comes to molding a team into a highly competitive unit that hates to lose. He has earned it.Brads comments are very concerning. I’m taking the under. We win 80-53Illinois -25.5
O/U 144.5
I’ll take the over
It is still crazy seeing 18 teams in the power rankings for the B1G. Good to consistently be on the left side of that ranking list.I'm kinda leaning toward giving our HC the benefit of the doubt when it comes to molding a team into a highly competitive unit that hates to lose. He has earned it.
Also, speaking of giving BU the benefit of the doubt based on his track record, each of us should be so fortunate as to find someone who loves us like Andy Katz loves the Illini.

The impudence! The audacity! The unmitigated gall! The lighter floor stain is nice but it's disappointing they replaced the entire court but left the unnecessary State of Illinois stained outline around the Block I. The most impactful/nicest courts and arenas on TV are the least cluttered. Between the weird Illinois outline, the big green Libman posters under the baskets that other schools don't have and the clashing RED State Farm logo, our court is just too busy and corporate compromised.
Who approved of that anyway? The State Farm logo on the court floor should be white, blue or orange. Period. The State Farm Center sign above the main entrance is white. State Farm changed their logo color for several of the Blue Blood arenas (Look above the baskets), we shouldn't compromise our school colors for corporate sponsorship either.
Don't remember the kid but his dad could sure shoot. Holds the school record for season and career three-pointers to this day (.493 and .449). Of course, the line was closer in those days (19'9").Some things of note...Nate Michael (son of Tom Michael) is an assistant under Coach Marty "The Mule" Simmons. I remember Nate going off on Illinois in a game years ago by hitting several treys when he played at McKendree. I know some on this board were impressed with Nate's shooting touch. Rich McBride is still on Simmons staff. Lastly, Sekou Kalle of EIU was teammates with Big Ben Humrichous at Evansville.
This is about where I would put them. A lot of unknowns concerning chemistry but that will come out in the wash. This is gonna be fun!I'm kinda leaning toward giving our HC the benefit of the doubt when it comes to molding a team into a highly competitive unit that hates to lose. He has earned it.

I somehow tried to purchase Big Ten + and ended up with fubo. will this work for the game tonight?Anyone else have issues with BTN+? I bought the month but it doesn’t seem to recognize that when I go to watch. I think it’s because I purchase through iTunes. I remembered it happened last year too but the chat was able to fix it. They’ve changed the chat to a bot now and is no help. I’ve opened a ticket and sent an email but got a bad feeling I paid for nothing. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance!
