I think Luke's path to a career in the NFL is to one who he was for us. He's not going to be a distraction, he's going to always work to get better, and while he doesn't have the most arm talent, he's able to lead an offense and get the ball to receivers.

I think just like in the workplace, metrics tend to overrule intangibles simply because they allow some basis of comparison and are traceable, even when they're incomplete or garbage metrics. Each year teams seem to lose their minds based on combine performance. And I'll take an accurate QB over a guy who can throw the ball 90yds any day of the week, and yet more times than not it's the freak athlete who gets the call.
That said, I agree with you. Whether drafted or not, some team will look at Luke and see the intangibles, the leadership, the toughness and desire, the accuracy on slants and when given a clean pocket, and his ability to be a good locker room presence and will give him that chance. And knowing Luke, he'll make good on that and turn it into a long NFL career. Just needs to get with a well managed organization that knows what they're doing.

Spent over 5 minutes on Gabe Jacas. This is Cowboys centric YouTube channel with a couple of Cowboys Draft Show-exes. The bald older guy was a scout for the Packers, Eagles, and Cowboys during the 90s and early 2000s.

Probably more or less baked in to his draft grade, it's not his speed that's impressing scouts, but that's pretty mediocre and doesn't particularly help his first round case.
You never know though, Pat Bryant had an "oh no" 40 time last year and still went at the top of his projected range.

According to the info Brett posted that 40 time is 87th percentile for edges his size so that seems better than mediocre and his start shows pretty high level explosion.

Another way of saying the same thing. Jacas isn't wowing scouts with his twitchy explosiveness, it's with his strength and physicality.
He out-benched everybody but 4 interior linemen at the combine. And for certain scouts "wrestling background" sets their heart aflutter.
I bet he's a player that's way higher on some team's boards than others.
He's a day 2 pick at best. I think he gets picked somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd round.
