10. Luke Altmyer, Illinois

“Luke Altmyer is one of the most experienced QBs entering the NFL Draft. With five years of college experience and 44 games, he has experience that is hard to find. He’s also blended that with a lot of success, particularly as he helped make Illinois competitive in the Big Ten.

This past season, he threw for 3,007 yards and 22 touchdowns to only five interceptions. He also rushed for 242 yards and another five touchdowns. So, for now, Kiper has him in the Top 10 of available QBs in the NFL Draft.”

I did not see much of the senior bowl or the workouts but does not look like Luke got much of a shot in the game, sadly. Wishing him all the best!

His name was almost never called aside from the Northwestern game when they kept testing him...

I think that's actually a good thing for a safety?

Illini '25 football is locked, so putting this here. very impressive standing for Scott:
think he has a legit shot at sticking, regardless of whether he's drafted. great development story here
Fun seeing Alex McLaughlin of Washington listed among the better safeties in The Big10. Alex's grandparents are good friends of mine when I was living in Macomb, IL. Alex's parents went to school with my children and were all good friends. His parents were excellent athletes. His mother was a State Champion sprinter and his father a very good QB. His paternal grandfather played college football. Little surprise to me that he has excelled. His two older brothers are also good athletes but at different sports.

Saw a few mock drafts....Ohio State with 3 of the top 10 and 4 or 5 in first round. Did they win the title?😎
