Mike LaTulip transfers to Wright State

Worst call in the history of everness.

Eh. I can admit it was a grey area. I think in conference play thats a no call. Definitely wasn't a blocking foul, and probably wasn't a charge, but I submit to you the two charges Malcolm got called on him a couple games back (sorry I dont remember which game it was.) One was a clear block, house league refs would call 99/100 times, the second was at the least a no call, and if Malcolm wasnt so tough and couldnt fight through hits like that, they would've ben called. Its just a bit ironic how the stronger and tougher players are, the less they get calls.

To salvage this tangential post, I'll actually write something about MLT. He always seemed very cocky to me when he was on the team--but I can tell he's got just as much pride in being a former Illini as anyone. And others seem to think hes a standup guy so who am i to judge. I am very happy he's performing extremely well for Wright St. Glad hes getting the chance to be a fulltime starter somewhere. I always thought his shot looked extremely impressive.

lol, that was a charge. His feet are completely set and outside the arc.
But it was a heck of a charge and I doubt there were any regrets by any Illini.

yeah unfortunately for us that was absolutely a charge. Unfortunately Ubakwe, nobody cares.

MLT plays Kendrick Nunns new team on 12/29. If Nunn was playing it woud have been interesting to watch.

Not a charge. Mbakwe's feet never stopped moving and his right foot was barely touching the court when contact was made. He only got to that spot as Brandon was already elevating.

Speaking of Meyers, this video is kinda fun to watch and think about what could have been in 2013...

Meyers would have been a treat to watch, for sure, if he'd finished his 4-year college career at UI. He's definitely a major cog for Portland now and has matured beyond measure in many ways since he left. Hope he can make trips back to the SFC as time permits and do some mentoring with the team, it would be great, even if it's in the summer. I don't think Mike LaTulip will forget his roots, either, and look for him to come back on occasion, as well.

This is the last time we scored off an alley-oop, no joke

I remember Roger Powell had an awesome dunk against Penn State that was unfortunately called a charge.

Roger Powell's final four tip dunk off his own 3 is probably one of the greatest plays in NCAA history.
