Illinois Hoops Recruiting Thread

There was a picture of me hanging in Zorba's in the form of the News Gazette clipping from the 2007 win at Ohio State. It was my claim to fame in Champaign. When Zorba's went up in flames, so did my lasting impact.
You and Kevin Mitchell?

Like a Phoenix, you arose from the ashes and were reborn.

I'm gonna go with Huaraches Moroleon in Urbana as the best Mexican food in town. Their Al Pastor and their Salsas and Queso are top notch.

Didn’t have a Friday class my last seven semesters of Undergrad, and spent many a hungover Friday morning/afternoons walking to Maize to start my weekend. Never failed.
So, you had Friday classes your first semester of college? Or were you on the Van Wilder plan?

Of the last 21 posts in this thread:
12 posts about food
8 posts bemoaning the food talk
1 post analyzing the 20 prior posts

Of these three varieties of posts (and in the absence of any actual news), one is much more interesting than the other two.

Unfortunately there really isn’t much news. Plus High School recruiting has changed so much based on transfers that it is not uncommon for a player to commit and then change plans. For me it is interesting to see who we are interested in but when over 50% of the roster is new each year and most of that happens in April-June it is hard to know what the team will look like next year

Hey, during the off season Dan needs "clicks'" to feed his family so why shouldn't we be talking about Champaign-Urbana food, both past and present just to fill in the time and drive enough traffic to IllinoisLoyalty that Dan can keep it up and running until the season starts or something of actual basketball interest occurs?

I don’t come here to reminisce about campus food of the past. I come for recruiting news. Start a thread somewhere else for your food talk.
