Illinois Hoops Recruiting Thread

If he was "very good" he wouldn't have been sat in the most important games of the season. His per-40 numbers were basically worse across the board from his sophomore season here.

He had an assist-to-turnover ratio of under 1.0. He shot 36% from 3 on 5.5 attempts per game but shot 41% from 3 the year before for us on 4 attempts per game.

Again, he was fine for a mediocre Syracuse team in a really weird Covid season. Nothing about his season says "very good" to me.
Just saying if you look at his numbers they don't look all that different then what Coleman put up last year. Obviously that's just stats and they don't always tell the story but that looks like a pretty good season until he ended up in Boeheim's doghouse.

He would've been a great piece on that 21 Illinois team that drastically lacking in size on the wing.

The peak of Alan's collegiate career was when he "accidently" stepped on Sasha Stefanovic's face vs. Purdue. From that point on he had to try and live up to his legendary status and it was too much weight to bear without Sasha's maxillary bones.
