Or maybe Bryce Heard, if we're even still interested.Bryce Hopkins Watch..2025? I guess?
Their getting paid now so that should ease some of their pain. Plus they can take advantage of a solid development program and move on next year.Don’t get me wrong. I’m thrilled with the amount of talent that we have brought in. But I’ve got a very good feeling that there’s going to be some sad faces on the bench when it comes to playing time that was maybe promised to them when they committed.
OK, play harder/better!Don’t get me wrong. I’m thrilled with the amount of talent that we have brought in. But I’ve got a very good feeling that there’s going to be some sad faces on the bench when it comes to playing time that was maybe promised to them when they committed.
If our biggest problem is an embarrassment of riches in talent such that some players are disappointed with their roles because they could easily start elsewhere, I'm fine with that. I've made my peace.Don’t get me wrong. I’m thrilled with the amount of talent that we have brought in. But I’ve got a very good feeling that there’s going to be some sad faces on the bench when it comes to playing time that was maybe promised to them when they committed.
Now all we need is RayJ Dennis and we’ll be top 5

D1959! Were these two previous posts answered to your satisfaction?Don’t get me wrong. I’m thrilled with the amount of talent that we have brought in. But I’ve got a very good feeling that there’s going to be some sad faces on the bench when it comes to playing time that was maybe promised to them when they committed.
My nephew would debate this as he is a Baylor alum and huge fan. I get the jest of the joke though! Good one!

One can only hopeI could be wrong but it seems like the people who screeched about RayJ Dennis all last season no longer post here![]()

Honestly nothing against Amani but I feel like Booth has vastly more upside(longer, taller, and more athletic).
Wow. Neato burrito.
I found the old IB while searching for Shaun Livingston news, days before his commitment.I know other people have discussed this, but I remember being on the old Illiniboard with “Brumby” and that crew when the Eric Gordon screw job went down. I was so disheartened and really pissed that I didn’t follow recruiting for YEARS!
Obviously some really dark times followed, but it is remarkable to see where we are today. Brad and the staff have done an incredible job. It is SO freaking hard to get guys to buy in to what you are selling when the program has been down for so long.
Enter Ayo and that changed the trajectory of the program. The list of people who have been more impactful to Illinois basketball is very short.
I do not know how our staff handles the issue of playing time when talking with recruits, but I wonder if they ever really PROMISE time to anyone. They may simply tell the recruit that they believe that he will win the time he thinks he deserves. In other words, they confirm the recruit's own belief.Don’t get me wrong. I’m thrilled with the amount of talent that we have brought in. But I’ve got a very good feeling that there’s going to be some sad faces on the bench when it comes to playing time that was maybe promised to them when they committed.
Was DeVries source Armani’s Mother or his back specialist? I think going to a program where he can get more playing time will help his back. I suspect extended periods of riding the bench was a contributing factor.
Wow. Neato burrito.
What is he doing nowadays? Now all we need is RayJ Dennis and we’ll be top 5
