I remember a time this board was not fond of Geoff…. Might have been last month..
Well Geoff isnt in the photo, so I assume he had nothing to do with the recruitment and should be fired.

Just Kwa, Brad, OA, & @illini0440

If Catchings is on our radar, don’t watch Sleepers Media to feel good about him being an Every Day Guy.

He made his own decision … He only visited IU, Illinois and Purdue …

His Mom definitely wanted him to go to Illinois …

This has been in the works for months regarding him not going to Purdue …
Do you think when a kid makes this decision at this point in the year, he has already decided where he wants to go? Or just doesn't want to be at his first choice?

I've seen other reports that it was NIL promise that wasn't coming through and not along the lines of what they mentioned in the video

It sounds like every fan base when they lose a commit. And sometimes it's actually true.
Yeah, but thats like the fan that says every year “this is our year!”. And the one out of 100 times it happens; they tell everyone “see?!? I told you so!!!”

OA is the lead recruiting on Riley obviously, so this must be referring to Catchings?

But, it's not a boom, so I'm going to interpret this as the staff is now talking to Catchings in a serious way about coming here, but no commitment yet
Is the consensus Catchings over Riley? Riley is 5 months younger, seems to be a walking bucket and didn't just walk away from another B10 program after getting on campus.

Separately does this say anything about Ty & Tre's offseason that they're willing to make playing commitments Painter (supposedly) was not at the 2/3?

Since all these UConn players get thirty days to pick a new school, that
could really put a damper on Coleman's chances of securing a pay day.

Don't think anyone is picking Catchings over Riley. The only argument is Riley will be here one year but even that isn't a good one.

This is what Indy said yesterday.

Indy, would you rather have Riley or Kanon?

Riley fits this team better ... He'd be my pick ...

But I don't think you'd go wrong either way ... Both are 1st round talents ...
