Yes. I believe he would be one of the best freshman in the country next year
I'm not saying you're wrong but if he's that good why is the competition just Florida and Wake?

Playing time is always a factor but one of the best freshmen in the country will get minutes anywhere.

You're leaving out the NIL equation. It's a completely different playing ground than 3 years ago when teams didn't have a limited amount of cash to spend. The teams that would be competing for him aren't because they've either committed their NIL to other targets or they're secure at Kasparas's position.

Is it even “recruiting” anymore? It should be called something else now. Offseason free agency in pro sports is not “recruiting”.
it feels more like bad version of poker. dont know anyone's hand, what chips are actually on the table, who is bluffing.

unfortunately for players, it sounds like often they don't know who is bluffing (re: NIL promises) either

Looks like Demin had a very good game, too.
Gonzalez is a better shooter. He is a 6’6” guard who has been with the Real Madrid program since he was 9 years old. He is a great defender also. He won the MVP of the prestigious tournament.

Those are bold words when Cooper Flagg is inbound. Also, Bailey, Harper, and McNeeley among others.

On a side note about Duke, I think Knueppel made a mistake going to Duke where runs the risk of getting buried. He should've went somewhere he would be more of the focus of an offense(both for his NBA stock or a potential NIL payday in year 2 of his pro outlook isn't great).

Honestly, if Illinois struck out on Kasparis his people would be smart to float the idea of decommitting and going to Illinois with all of the open minutes at the 2, available NIL, and what Brad did with a bigger guard from Wisconsin in Domask. Don't know if the Illini would even go for it, but it would be a better fit for him on paper.
