Ked has pulled that card for a long time, wants you to think that he's a true insider. He also let's you know that when a kid commits that he knew about it days in advance of the announcement. These media guys that go to practice and get little tidbits and then turn around and literally sell them, make me gag. Weird guy.

I mean, this is his living we are talking about. If he sells information, why give it away for free? He is an Illinois fan, so he does share in our enthusiasm but he’s gotta keep the payroll going. I heard the same interview and took it as “be patient Illini fans, there is a lot of movement coming”.

Edit: I can agree that it does make me gag a little.

Very little is known about this relatively new disease , as it only was discovered about 7-10 days ago.......Common thought is it originated in a fish market in Champaign , Il and has spread like wildfire across the midwest affecting user's of the Loyalty Board and spread throughout the web by super spreader events like redundant posting of repetitive opinions until a user's resistance is down and then their immune systems begin to waver , allowing the disease to gain a foothold in the users brain ......there are no known vaccinations available yet and doubtful this horror will subside on it's own .....

In general, just because a source is unnamed doesn't mean it's not legitimate. Many times a source has to remain unnamed because they are providing legitimate information they aren't supposed to be providing publicly. That's sort of the core of investigative journalism.

Having said that, not all unnamed sources are equally valid and so you have to consider the track record of the news source. And this is Ked, so...

I know it's been said, but is May 1st the last day to enter the portal? So at that point, we can feel a little more confident that no one else is leaving. Then the dominos begin to fall and the players in the portal have the summer to make decisions or is there a date they have to pick by?

Last date to enter and play right away without needing a waiver (for first timers.) No real date after that... have to be on campus by the time classes start lol

So after next week, we should be more confident we won't get a shock and have RJ, Hawkins, etc. surprise us and enter the portal? After that, we should just be adding talent? If we choose to be optimistic. lol

That’s what I’m hearing. Between him and TSJ, I get that these might be extreme case but I hope we don’t go back to the “not playing the game”, “ethics champions” of the Weber days.

Besides what’s wrong with wanting your child to get max compensation for busting his !!! for a program?

Do we make career decisions based on loyalty to a company or based on the compensation that it offered? I find it a bit hypocritical. These kids often come from lower middle class households. I have no problem with a kids parents “hustling” to ge the best compensation for him and their family.
