The aspect that makes you think it has to have some validity is, why in the world would you pick David Roddy? We never recruited him out of high school. He isn't from Illinois. He doesn't have a connection to an assistant from a previous stop. He's not a top 10 scorer. Where would that name have even come from?

The name has been bandied about because an insider hinted at it, plus CSU is losing its coach so could make sense for him to go into the portal. No idea what any connection is to us, however. ???
thats my point. Why would an insider choose David Roddy if it wasn't legit? Terrance Shannon would make sense, Javon Freeman Liberty, David Jones, Landers Nolley, Jordan Nesbitt, Bryce Hopkins, these are all names you could just assume and throw out there trying to be right. But I just don't know why you would even know the name David Roddy if someone in the program hadn't said something.

This is brilliant. We can play 6 players and just make sure he stays on the other side of the court from Coleman. If a ref blows the whistle for too many players, we just say what are you talking about, that's Coleman as the other casually steps off the court.

I know this may sound a little like sour grapes, and I would have loved to have gotten him, but I actually don’t think losing Boswell is a huge deal purely from a roster fit/construction perspective. We should have Epps (can’t assume anything in new transfer environment) and possibly Belo for 2023-24, so already 2 small guards in the fold. You take a talent like Boswell 100% of the time and figure the rest out later, but I think we’ve seen this year having 3 small guards is not ideal. I think we beat Penn St by 20 if Trent is 6’4 200 and Pickett couldn’t just back him down. But small guards is currently a roster weakness that the right teams can exploit. And I think BU knows this and is trying to fix it going forward.
The 2021/2 classes. This kid. Jeremiah Johnson as a 6’4 PG, The Coleman Hawkins clone. Keep em coming. Let’s build an AZ like roster with long shooters. Again, like the direction we are going by targeting size.
