Eh, I don't need all blues but the all orange is the best look we have.

Blue shirt with orange pants or orange shirt with blue pants is the way. Occasionally white shirt, orange pants is acceptable. Monochrome jerseys just never looks good.

Doesn’t look good, man

[drags biggest, deadest horse out from behind barn] STOP MATCHING JERSEYS AND PANTS
While I actually kind of like the O/B/B look (mostly because I just think our navy pants look quite slick), I agree with this in principle, and I think our O/W/W combo is objectively terrible. If you are going to go white-on-white on the road, I think you HAVE to match the helmet with it ... and we all know we are not about to bust out a white helmet, so just retire the damn look! The way it looks now, it's like 90% of the uniform is going for this "whiteout" look, and then there is a splash of out-of-place color on top via the orange helmet. It just looks so incredibly inferior to O/W/O that I am astonished and saddened that there is anyone in the program that (clearly) kind of likes that look, haha.

Plus, I just cannot get over the fact that any school with two bold team colors would emphasize white. A majority of the pre-West Coast Big Ten teams only had one team color (besides white/black/gray trim), and two of those teams (Iowa and Purdue) have black as a primary color. Only Illinois, Maryland, Michigan and Minnesota genuinely have two "real" colors for their uniforms. Sure, Wisconsin and Nebraska and Michigan State have no choice but to emphasize white ... we should quite literally never look like our colors are orange and white or blue and white - part of my biggest gripe with our current basketball jerseys (and old football uniforms) that have plain orange font on a white jersey with no outline, making us look like Tennessee wannabes that forgot we have navy.

On this general note ... prepare yourselves!!

I searched "Illini EA College Football 25" on YouTube (since I remain financially restricted from buying a PS5, lol) ... and I found a video where someone did the Lord's work and fulfilled our dream of #BPOTR! Even though they're blurry ... SIGN ME UP! Such a miss if we don't bust that look out at Oregon.

I know part of my opinion here is clouded with a 25-year-old memory of yelling my head off as Rocky Harvey took off in the Big House, but Orange/White/Blue is such a solid road look. I would definitely save it for one big road game each season and a bowl game if we are wearing white jerseys as the "visiting" team.

Welcome to Team #BPOTR! We are growing, and no one can stop us.

Nice graphics, but while Bret Bielema is the head coach, if the helmet isn't orange, it "ain't happening".

OK, . . . maybe once every 100 years for an anniversary game, the helmet color will change.
I thought that rather than having multiple helmets of different colors, there would be one helmet per player but the best available. The graphics presumably could be removed and replaced.

Maturing as a uni geek is understanding that there are no set rules in uniforms and everybody has an opinion on art.

There are wrong opinions, but there’s no one right opinion.

Maybe these helmets have reverse powers compared to the originals

We nearly lost to Purdue with Butkus era helmets
We went 2-1 with slanted Illini helmet that the 0-11 1997 Illini wore
