Great win tonight. But I have a question about recruiting. I was on ESPN reading what little has been written about us when I saw Eugene Wilson III of Florida had knee surgery. Why didn't we recruit him? His dad is former Illini safety Eugene Wilson. Why is it so hard for us to recruit legacy kids? It seems every other team can get them except us. What did all of the previous staffs do to Alumni to alienate them and their families? And what is Bret failing to do to make this better?

He’s in the office starting Penn state prep but yes still on the phone with recruits all day too

I assume our relationship with E. St. Louis Lincoln football players is pretty solid right now.

I know - it’s grim. We have some young talent now getting snaps, but I am in agreement that we’ll need to bring in some older transfers to augment the room. I’d still like to parlay our early season production from those veterans to get a few 3-4 star high school guys.
