Charles Jagusah - OT - Rock Island area
- Top ranked Illinois prep. Went from borderline top-300 recruit to now #115. He's a top-10 tackle nationally. Offers from everywhere. Would be Illinois' highest-ranked recruit since Zook Era.

Great, he's from the Quad Cities, means he's going to Iowa. I hate how much people in my area root for Iowa instead of the state below their feet.

It's not just the QCs. Iowa has a strong foothold from the border close to DeKalb and as far south as Macomb. We have a lot of work to do as they have been successful since BB went there and helped establish that foothold.

It is now up to BB to destroy that Illinois recruiting foundation Iowa has. I’m sure he knows where the cracks are right? Tear it down!

Between 10-15 years ago, when my 3 kids were in HS - in Naperville - very much to my surprise, a lot of their classmates were Iowa/Missou (at least they were not Illinois) fans. So, I conducted a non-scientific study (as an ex social scientist) and came up with the reason that none of them would have got admission at UoI. A cursory check in the past few years has proved that to be true. Not sure if it would apply to the general population, but, would not be surprised.

Both Iowa and Missouri offer guaranteed admission (even for out of state) based on GPA and test scores. Iowa, a combo of the two (ex. 1100 SAT and 3.3 GPA) and Missouri on test score only (24+ ACT or 1160+ SAT). You don't see students with high GPAs or high test scores being denied like you do at Illinois.

From my hometown. Would absolutely SUCK if the one (and only??) Div 1 athlete to ever make it out of our tiny town and tiny football program goes to Iowa.

It’s all UofI fans in Arthur and he should have grown up on a steady diet of Iowa hate. (From his peers and people around town anyway)

Please don’t go to Iowa.
Actually from Atwood going to school in Arthur but who’s counting. Since his dad was an ILLINI star you’d hope we had an advantage

What’s the level of Iowa hate there in Atwood? If it’s anything less than 100% something is wrong.

Or maybe you’re not from Atwood at all and we’re just pointing out his hometown?? Haha

Oh it’s pretty close to 100%. I know I am originally from there

I thought he was offered by Illinois but instead chose to go to Iowa as a preferred walk-on. I could easily have it wrong. Others on this board will set me straight I’m sure.
I found two different articles that said he wasn't offered either a scholarship or as a walk-on by Illinois, but Iowa did offer as a walk-on. He wanted to come here badly and be the next Butkus.

Anyone know anything about Marey Roby, rb/s from Lena-Winslow? I know it's 1A football but the kid is tearing it up in the state title game. 216 yards in first half. Missed 2020 with broken leg. Fast, smooth and makes amazing cuts. Can't find anything as far as ranking or college commitment.

It looks like we are in pretty good shape with Elijah McCantos and Elijah Davis. They both would be great additions, as they have some pretty good offers. Does anyone know when they are announcing their commitment?

I saw that the big OL from Denmark is coming back for an official visit. Was here a couple/few weeks ago for an unofficial. Don’t know if he’s any good, but 6-8, 300 pounds would seem like a good jumping off point for development.
Anyone know where I can find a pair of Size 22 Orange Wooden Shoes? Asking for a friend... #insider
