One age old issue - how do you handle the HS coach who thinks you should offer his guy a scholarship but you don’t?
Choose your words with care, hope the coach doesn't have a short fuse, and extricate yourself from the situation if it gets too hot.

Interesting, neither Cary-Grove or Barrington are listed, but come up in the search.
It looks like the list shows 200+ results meaning it only shows the first 200 in the database and leaves out any over that number. It isn't set up to give all possible items that meet a search. It is designed to find specific smaller groups. Clearly it isn't a complete list with the search shown. I would guess the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association might be a more complete list with all the co-op programs and such.

Exactly. I would also assume a collegiate coach isn't loading up Max Sports as their reference of choice. If that's the best reference Illinois has when it comes to identifying Illinois High School football programs.... we're in a lot of trouble.

Director of recruiting, Pat Embleton, mentioned 500 something I believe. I‘m not clear if that was the number of schools or coaches they were going to contact. He said they were dividing that number up between all the coaches on staff.
Jeremy Werner stated 500 coaches on his podcast that Illini would be contacting.

Yes. You handle it openly and honestly. And maybe you use your connections to help the athlete find a different situation.

i have a personal experience with a family friend that really wanted to play a sport (not FB or Bball) at Illinois, but probably wasn’t quite good enough and it wasn’t a position of need. This person was invited to be a “preferred walk-on” but the Illini coach also recommended the athlete to a different school based on a coaching connection (I don’t want to say lower or lesser, but it wasn’t B1G) They got a full ride and had a great career.
Female?

Interesting to see the tweets showing area in Illinois on which each coach will concentrate as far as recruiting

The nugget, nice. My first beer came from there. One bright spot about Danville is that it is close to The Beef House. May be the only bright spot.
Danville country club used to be great.
Sorry. Memories.

Oh there's lots more bright spots in D'ville!

Muzzle flashes, meth pipes, police lights....
