Illinois 23, Kansas 17 Postgame

Not to be that guy, but I felt they kinda gashed us on the runs. Was that due to our gameplan to contain Daniels, or is that a weakness future opponents will look at and know to exploit?

What a win!
I don't think our run defense is anything to write home about, but Kansas probably has a top 5 rushing attack in the country with a top 3 running back

Thing I really liked was that NIU and Illinois wins were no flukes. Hard fought football games. The better teams won. Pure and simple.

Note: Please accept my "likes" right here and now to each and every one of your posts, umbrella like. I'm pooped after watching this double-header today. Will watch replay tomorrow.
NIU played a great game and I despise ND, but the makings of a tough game was off the charts. Going to A & M, winning a tough game against an SEC team....then getting a MAC team at home, you knew that there was going to be a natural letdown. If they played again next week, ND wins by four TD's. That said, NIU doesn't care. This one night is what matters.

UI and KU could play 100 times and it'd be 50/50

Meltdown on the KU boards.
Oh I'd be having a meltdown too if I was a Kansas fan. Every single time they gave the ball to Neal he ran for 7 yards and for some inexplicable reason Kansas just decided not to give him the rock. He should've had 200+yds tonight with how their Oline was run blocking tonight. If I'm a Kansas fan, I would be saying that their OC cost them the game tonight. And, they'd probably be right.
