Thing I really liked was that NIU and Illinois wins were no flukes. Hard fought football games.The better teams won. Pure and simple.

Note: Please accept my "likes" right here and now to each and every one of your posts, umbrella like. I'm pooped after watching this double-header today. Will watch replay tomorrow.

Good because I won't be able to speak for a couple days and my ears are ringing. I need more of this.

The offense was getting stuffed all day and then pulled off the exact two drives they needed in the 4th to take the lead and then eat most of the clock. And the secondary after looking like lost lambs last year was absolutely dominant tonight.

Then going all the way down the field giving the D MUCH needed rest
If we'd gone 3 and out it would have been pretty bad right then, instead we somehow someway took control of the game from then on.

Before that I would have said that KU was clearly the better team on both sides of the ball, but our team seemed to suddenly gel late in the 3rd quarter, including special teams Didn't know Olano would be money for us twice for pretty long ones.
