not as good a B10 championship banner or final four banner but beggars can't be choosers.

Hoping we can get to 2nd round of NCAA this year. Really need Berry Wallace to be day 1 starter and average at least 10 ppg 8 rbg

8 rebounds is asking to much but I understand we need an impact from one of our younger players

That would be nice but we don't need her to be that dynamic to make the second round of the NCAA..That would be huge for Lety or Hayven, heck if they avg 12 and 10 total from the 5 spot together would be great..Berry scoring 8 maybe 3 boards 2 ast with a 38 to 40 percentages in 3pt shooting will I believe help us to a round of 8...I would say we need those freshman thriving for recruiting purposes...We are going to win a lot of games with what was coming back..I think Gretchen and Bollin will significantly increase their acumen and contributions...

Big Ten women's basketball summer power rankings
https://www.news-gazette.com/newsle...cle_2525d51c-5c17-11ef-9985-cf5c9a1c62f9.html
Illinois ranked no. 6 in Big Ten pre-season rankings by News-Gazette Top 6 in order: USC, UCLA, OSU, Iowa, Maryland, ILL
I think the new teams take a few slips in the rugged B1G schedule .Long travel scheduled and physical play from every team.I do have to admit USC and UCLA stockpile the talent ..I think this year we get over the hump of Maryland and weatch extremely with Iowa,So I say we could be higher. We have a very experienced team,5 contributing seniors This team is really really good..

It's a pretty darn good finishing kick this team had.Im not certain but we may have been the only under .500 team playing in the tournament and with a home game seeding., . I think the first game was the toughest ,but after that the women played like surgical unit all working together removing that stigma of inconsistent execution
..,Now we have the second longest winning streak coming into the season

Past 2 seasons were vast improvement over prior 10. However it is time for Green to take the next step up. Finish in top half of B10, make NCAA (not play in games). These are her recruits.

Actually this is HER team but some of the biggest contributions come from Fahey recruits, but the team has changed for the better but geez the B1G is a huge mountain to climb that just got bigger and more dominant..I'm excited and expecting to see a team that is capable of reaching that kind of aspiration this year because we have a veteran laden team, but after that I think we have way more work to do to cement a perennial contender in this league of champions...We aren't Maryland, UCLA USC,Ohio State,Iowa.....Need I say more?

Maybe not yet, but it seems to be the direction we've heading. We really need to lock in Shauna long term
She signed a 6 year deal when hired plus already paying retention bonus. Making million+ a year now (1st for Women's coach at Illinois)

It won't be years and dollars. If she ever wants to jump ship it will be for a bigger job. Shauna is a perfect fit!

Bye the way,we MEED you too Divine.if they both come we can all watch the seats fill up at State Farm for the women's basketball too..

If Shauna can land one 5 star per year I am very optimistic about our program.

Brad has been very successful with 4 star players like Ayo, Adam, Kofi, Andre. Will Riley is our first 5 star.

Although it seems there's never enough curiosity when it comes to women's basketball except for Blue bloods, from the list of girls we are recruiting and the list they show for Destiny the only scary team I thought might be UNC.. .I'm hoping she knows ILL-INI is tailor made for her.

well, her table is set here: day 1 starter & she gets the keys. really hope Green can pull this off. true statement recruit
