He is part of owner of Fortis Gym in Dallas, one of the top MMA training facilities in the country.

This is very good context, and does make it seem a lot less weird to me.

He'd be fighting Frank Gore. Who at least is a real athlete with an actual reason to be famous.

The fact that they're the undercard has to do with the fact that everyone can't wait to see this YouTuber get jacked in the face, which oddly enough reassures me the tiniest bit about society.
Jake Paul is gaining some momentum in the boxing world. He's not bad at all. That said, you're right - people definitely want to see him get jacked in the face 🤪

Logan is the really annoying one tbh.

I can't fault the man for finding a way to make money. If there going to make you the heel anyway, you might as well monatize it.

Ayo getting some more good early time. He has been beaten off the dribble a couple of times by Maxey and a shot erased by Embiid, but had a great drive for a lay in.

Also just had a great assist…

When NBA players get hot, it is a scary thing. I've always watched, but fell in with the narrative of no defense being played, but that is not the case. There isn't much you can do when these guys get on a heater. They need the slightest of separation.

I'm not particularly understanding the consternation about DWill. He obviously enjoys this and wants to do it. He's a competitive guy and this feeds that. Risk? Yes. His choice and more power to him.

Kendall got in the ring and doesn't seem the worse for wear.

I'm glad there will be one other former Illini around to keep the Tim Doyles of the world in line.
Completely agree. He's an adult and can make whatever decisions he wants to make him happy and/or secure a nice paycheck. And it's not like this one of those situations where a broke former athlete/celebrity is just desperate for money and unintentionally compromising their health in pursuit of the bag (e.g. Jose Conseco). Clearly it's a hobby of his and I'm sure he loves the challenge that it brings

DWill can do whatever he wants. I just think the whole celebrity boxing and mma thing is kinda weird, and just a little sad. Like a rung or two below Dancing with the Stars, and on par with highway hair transplant billboards. Then again he's probably getting several times my annual salary for this, so who am I to judge.
I agree with a lot of this post except for rating this below dancing with the stars.

Curbelo at #26 on Bleacher Reports NBA 2022 big board. Kofi not on the list (top 50)

Aye playing significant minutes against the Nets tonight....making some impact plays in the 4th quarter....Stock is rising!
Leading the team tonight in +/- with +16 (though just made a costly TO that probably gets him pulled).

Edit: I stand corrected. Donovan showing faith in Ayo and puts him back out on the floor.
