Herschel Feagin Leads the Illinois Fighting Illinois(ans) to an All-Time, never again achieved, pinnacle of an NCAA Football Season !!!

We will surprise the world. Our team is like the 2022 team but a higher octane offensive version, including having Herschel Walker in a Feagin jersey.

By the way watch Walker’s old Georgia ganes and compare his body frame, speed and stand up running style, which is so similar to Feagin, it's eerie.

Go Illini!
I saw some Herschel as well on the first hb toss.
I am hesitant to compare the present D with 2022.

Ranking the schedule from most difficult to least difficult

@8PSU
@3Oregon
9Michigan
@Nebraska
22Kansas
@Rutgers
Purdue
@Northwestern
Minnesota
Michigan St
Central Michigan
EIU W 45-0

Very well might be favored in each of the bottom 6. Lose one of those, will need to steal one of @Rutgers, 22Kansas, @Nebraska. Lose all 3 of those and we’ll need to steal a win vs the big 3.

I'd flip Oregon and PSU. PSU surely looked better Week 1, but it's week 1...It's a tossup I got no problem saying PSU's harder...for me I'll just go with Oregon. Very, very unlikely we win either IMO. Outside of that I'd change nothing.

Watched a lot of highlights this first week - fun to start the season, especially with such a strong start for Illinois. Next week should say a lot about how they deal with success and chances for the post-season. My notes outside IL - very impressed with how Nebraska and USC are rebuilding --both have ballers at QB. Michigan's FG kicker was lights out. BIG looking very good. tOSU didn't look quite the #1 some have anointed it. Wondering how folks size up the rankings within the conference after getting a look at teams. Can the BIG send 5 to the CFP?

Kansas and Nebraska are pivotal games...win one of those and we are probably bowling.
For the bowling thing...go 3-1 in the last 4 and beat Purdon't. That's very much doable if we don't win those 2.

But these 2 games are just MASSIVE opportunities to build excitement, optimism for this program and really look to kick-start a run at something special.

I think the KU game could be one of our toughest. I think it is harder than @Nebraska and scUM. Week 2 game got to be ready to play

The Nebraska game will be tough because it’s on the road and in a hostile environment. I think Nebraska handles CU this weekend

scUM is tough because we haven’t beaten them in a while and they will have time to gel their team

Nah @Nebraska is tougher.

Nebraska is ranked 3rd in Connelly’s returning production, while Kansas is ranked in the 70’s.

KU is playing their first road game of the year against us, while we be playing our first road game of the year @Nebraska.

Both games are tough, but @Nebraska is tougher.

It’s interesting how everyone here is more worried about our defense than our offense.
Let's think about context though. I'm not sure exactly how those numbers are calculated but after being up 31-0 at halftime we didn't have a need to keep throwing the ball all over the place and scoring like crazy.
