Who let the Iowa fan in here spreading non-sense of them possibly going 11-1 next season... Like Cade McNamara/OC's really going to be the difference this year. Give me a break😂

Our offense's set for success for a 8 win season... On the other hand A Henry you got 3 weeks to figure it out, otherwise you need to go and let other people call blitzes to help this team get to 6-7 wins!

Not sure why it’s bait. The people that wanted Holecek to replace buh or Walters were clueless. This is a role he would be good in. Ken Leonard is a great offensive mind and had the most wins in ihsa history.

Just a joke is all. Seems like some of these names are discussed every year for staff positions and can be a bit of a polarizing topic. Not a dig at either of these two coaches.

Derek is a great offensive mind but it’s a big jump to go from 5a ihsa football to the big 10. I would settle with hiring his dad who is also a great offensive mind as an analyst role. Now that’s analyst can coach on the field it would be perfect for Holecek.

has Holecek ever once expressed a desire to coach at Illinois or be involved in the program in any way ?

I seem to recall him being very non committal about it whenever asked .

Can one of our insiders tell the DIA to make the web page to buy single game tickets easier to find?? As a program that rather desperately needs to continue the positive trend of increasing ticket sales, the last thing we need is people having difficulty even finding HOW to do it, lol. When you click on football tickets, it says single game tickets will be available in "the summer of 2024" ... seems quite easy to update that. You can't even find out how to buy tickets if you remain in the football tickets section of the website, and you have to click on "BUY TICKETS" and then select football ... but this button is not visible on every page.

Sounds like I am complaining, but I am going to go ahead and guess that there are some Illini fans less tech savvy than I am, and this should really be about the easiest thing ever, haha.

First step is getting the design approved. 2nd step is getting at least 250 preorders. I'd have to imagine, based on the number of block I flags and stickers on cars, that 250 would be hit easily. Someone needs to talk to the license plate folks and make it happen! (I only know this bc we went through it for Austin FC plates)

Not sure through the "official" channels, but the cheapest tickets on StubHub right now are $88. There seem to be quite a few tickets available in the lower bowl for $115-$140, though. Not terrible.

My father in law is a Cubs season ticketholder (and unfortunately a Hawkeye fan, lol), and he keeps asking me if we want him to get us tickets ... and he'd presumably pay for them. So, I am a real moron for not just going that route. However, I need to make sure that our little one (7 months old right now) has a suitable babysitter, which is slightly more difficult on Thanksgiving Weekend! Lol. Might just leave him at one of our parents' house and drive back to Chicago on Friday for the game and come back for him on Sunday. :ROFLMAO:

I see the field no longer runs E-W. it’s now on quite an angle .
I saw that no seats were for sale from the bleachers .

what’s up with that ?
