Not great that big T is still working through amateurism issues. Kept his bro out until January last year.

I thought that all of this was wrapped up weeks ago? Or was that just getting him in the door?

My only wish list for the conference season schedule is to get the Iowa home game on a Saturday (so I can road trip with my friends) and the Northwestern away game on at least a Thursday (so we can head up to Evanston and get tipsy because Thursday is the new Friday, haha).
Are they still continuing that charade? Never heard of an amateur getting paid 2 million dollars to play ball.
It’s silly. He will make more in the States than he ever did in Europe.
Does Coleman qualify as an amateur after his deal? Lol. The hypocrisy by the NCAA is nuts.

I think everyone agrees that people who go to the NBA or to the G League can't return. So that there is some place overseas that can eliminate your eligibility isn't ridiculous. Not sure how the line gets drawn.
No worries. 3 OVC schools in the non-con schedule for the Illini.
I like seeing Eastern Illinois and SIU-Edwardsville on the schedule. Know Geoff Alexander was trying to get SIU-Edwardsville on the schedule with some relationships he has with the coaching staff.

I hear you, and old school me shares the sentiment of many on here. BUT..... that cat is out of the bag and is never going back in. The OLD definition of 'amateur' no longer applies. Todays definition is no longer $$$ centric. It's purely 'Has this person EVER played for pay for a professional league IN THE U.S.?' If not, then they are eligible to play NCAA basketball. G-League/Ignite are professional, and to my knowledge no player has moved from those leagues to an NCAA school... Please correct me if I'm wrong. And for the record, I fully expect even that will change in the near future.
Also, what could there be that takes time to clarify? Aren't there criteria that he either meets or not, and therefore it's a Yea or Nay? Is the fax machine just super slow or something?
I may not have phrased it correctly. College players are being paid. What is the definition of being an amateur?
