"amateurism". what a stupid, pointless charade at this point.
"Sneaky big piece"?Not great that big T is still working through amateurism issues. Kept his bro out until January last year.
I still think he’s a sneaky big piece to the puzzle as he can body up the big centers and let us play 5 out.
I thought that all of this was wrapped up weeks ago? Or was that just getting him in the door?
Amateurism? They are all getting paid now. WTH.I thought that all of this was wrapped up weeks ago? Or was that just getting him in the door?
Not ideal. They have, what, a month and a half to figure it out?
Are they still continuing that charade? Never heard of an amateur getting paid 2 million dollars to play ball. Not great that big T is still working through amateurism issues. Kept his bro out until January last year.

It’s silly. He will make more in the States than he ever did in Europe. Are they still continuing that charade? Never heard of an amateur getting paid 2 million dollars to play ball.

Does Coleman qualify as an amateur after his deal? Lol. The hypocrisy by the NCAA is nuts.
I think everyone agrees that people who go to the NBA or to the G League can't return. So that there is some place overseas that can eliminate your eligibility isn't ridiculous. Not sure how the line gets drawn. It’s silly. He will make more in the States than he ever did in Europe.

This is a little confusing. I looked this up on Wikipedia and it seems that the school itself is called the University of Arkansas at Little Rock but the sports teams are called Little Rock Trojans. Quote from Wikipedia, "The Little Rock Trojans are the athletic teams representing the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.” And this, "On July 1, 2015, the Trojans officially announced they would no longer be branded as "Arkansas–Little Rock" or "UALR," but will be the Little Rock Trojans effective immediately”. Interesting but kind of weird. Learned something new today thanks to “IlliniFaninHoosierLand”. Thanks
My only wish list for the conference season schedule is to get the Iowa home game on a Saturday (so I can road trip with my friends) and the Northwestern away game on at least a Thursday (so we can head up to Evanston and get tipsy because Thursday is the new Friday, haha).
I FUND was 10/24, public was 10/25Just curious, does anyone remember when single game tickets went on sale last year?
Appreciate the answer. Those Tennessee tickets are going to be popular so I want to keep an eye outI FUND was 10/24, public was 10/25
I hear you, and old school me shares the sentiment of many on here. BUT..... that cat is out of the bag and is never going back in. The OLD definition of 'amateur' no longer applies. Todays definition is no longer $$$ centric. It's purely 'Has this person EVER played for pay for a professional league IN THE U.S.?' If not, then they are eligible to play NCAA basketball. G-League/Ignite are professional, and to my knowledge no player has moved from those leagues to an NCAA school... Please correct me if I'm wrong. And for the record, I fully expect even that will change in the near future. It’s silly. He will make more in the States than he ever did in Europe.

Also, what could there be that takes time to clarify? Aren't there criteria that he either meets or not, and therefore it's a Yea or Nay? Is the fax machine just super slow or something?"amateurism". what a stupid, pointless charade at this point.
I may not have phrased it correctly. College players are being paid. What is the definition of being an amateur?I think everyone agrees that people who go to the NBA or to the G League can't return. So that there is some place overseas that can eliminate your eligibility isn't ridiculous. Not sure how the line gets drawn.
But they aren’t being “paid to play.”I may not have phrased it correctly. College players are being paid. What is the definition of being an amateur?
