If the Lossiers enter conference play with more than 1 loss it will be an epic failure....
Stephen Colbert Good Luck GIF
I think they will the Battle 4 Atlantis could be a tough field with Creighton Arizona Gonzaga. When the bracket gets finalized it will be interesting to see who they play.

I don’t know how good the Big Ten will be and if it was like last season the NET ranking of teams made it hard to have quad 1 opportunities

Hey guys, you've gotta see Indiana's non-con this year. It's hilarious!

Indiana seems to lack confidence, especially despite all the new additions they added to existing good players. They evidently want to go for the wins against teams that won't do much for their RPI or SOS. Would serve them right if they get upset by one or more of these lower tier teams, LOL. Illinois used to schedule teams like that and I am so glad Illinois has gained confidence from building up their roster quality and from recent success to now schedule a much tougher off-season slate. Duke, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas will help gauge this team's potential, prepare them for a more grueling Big Ten slate and can really build up Illinois RPI. Brad and Illini have every reason to be more confident as the talent is unmistakingly there.

The article is wrong, it's Providence, not Creighton.

Personally, I hope they play West Virginia so we can see how they fare against Illinois' 3rd team.

For those who are looking forward to seeing a new practice video and are having Illini basketball withdrawal symptoms, enjoy a practice session from last year.

Any news on Ivisic's arrival? Is his delay personal, visa-related, or transcript related?

Was watching his highlights and he has a nice stroke from three, plus some good pick and roll moves...

We need him here!

I believe he will be the biggest key to a natty win. He won’t be our MVP but he will be the key player for us to win against good teams.

He will cause havoc on the offensive scheme of our opponents due to his agility, size and rim protection abilities.

From the highlights I've seen he doesn't look particularly agile. I love us getting him as he's certainly a good shooter and looks to be a good passer also. And he's 7 ft tall and not a skinny kid that needs strength. But I don't think he's that athletic.

At 7‘1“ 250 pounds he’s not gonna be a gazelle, it’s his agility for his size that impresses me. Watch him, his lateral movements are as good as anybody who is that size.

Watch him on defense, that is where he will help. Remember Kofi changing shots?

That’s what you get with a seven footer.

He looks pretty weak here. I'm shocked these high end players don't get worked out harder at their prep schools. He is going to SORE tomorrow.

The Athletic just released their 2025 "Mock Draft" (no teams involved, obviously). Riley gets a mention but doesn't make the final top 60 list. One Illini on there:

#15 - KJ - a 6-4 combo guard who has thrived at every single stage of his career with Barcelona’s youth team. He won the MVP of the Zadar region of 2023’s Next Generation Tournament, then followed it with the MVP in the Belgrade section of the tournament this season while also making the overall All-Tournament team. Long one of the best passers in the age group, the Lithuanian playmaker has an innate feel out of ball screens, with the ability to find open teammates from just about any angle. His ball-screen game flows incredibly well off that skill, as he’s displayed the ability to hit 3s out of pull-up situations and drive all the way to the rim, using his strong frame to keep defenders on his hip. He’s an extremely creative guard with good footwork, good handle and high feel for the game. He could stand to tighten his handle a touch if he’s going to play on the ball long-term, but he is a strong dribble-pass-shoot bet. He’ll attend Illinois this year, where I’m expecting him to share a backcourt with Kylan Boswell. Jakucionis is my favorite among the members of Illinois’ loaded freshman class.
Interesting to see KJ at #15 and Egor Demin at #33.
