If this team gels quickly ... The ceiling for this team is national championship ... I truly believe that ...

We may drop a tough one in non conference ... But when you play good teams, if you lay an egg ... It doesn't come back to bite in March ...

Truly think this team wins the Big Ten next year ...

Everyone want to talk about IU and that's fine ... But Woodson has done absolutely nothing with all the talent he's had ... If I was AD ... He would've been fired after last year ...

I was real worried IU might go after TJ Otzelberger. That would have been a grand slam hire, IMO.

I believe every word you said. Our second five would beat the lower half of our conference, now that is SICK.

I hope Kasparas comes back for year two, what a great player he looks to be.

Boswell can flat out play the point. We have missed that elite point guard but will be visible to everyone watching us next year.

With 12 very, very talented guys, these scrimmages are going to show who really wants it, who hustles the best, who shoots the best, and who defends the best. The two sides are pretty equal, making practices brutal, where the level of competitiveness is going to be off the charts. I know it’s just “Practice,” but WOW! Hopefully, they can still gel as teammates and develop chemistry because this could be special…

I thought he came in 1979, so my bad lol
My observation was Lou Henson and Tony Yates, then Lou and Jimmy Collins built recruiting pipelines by cultivating relationships with the influential high school coaches in the state. That took some time.

Then recruiting started changing in the late 1980s. The high school coaches gradually had less influence ...

That video is very impressive. I hope they can come together.
Video is very promising this team looks like they have some very talented pieces and depth that creates mismatches. Oh and we still are waiting for 2 very important talented players to join this group!!! We are going to be very very good team and be interesting to see how high our ceiling will be.

We all saw Ty take jump shots in practice last year but didn't take a single one in a game. He's going to have to actually take some and make them to keep his playing time this year. If he does that it would raise his game tremendously

Ty turnaround jumper.....😲
The coaches tweaked his mechanics on his release and shot.

They brought in a new shooting system (Noah system) that facially recognizes the players and calculates the depth and shooting angle of each shot so he has elevated his release angle and his accuracy is getting better.

He is shooting 1,500 shots a day while the Noah system captures the ball’s position 30 times per second to provide metrics such as the arc of each shot, the ball’s left-right position and depth within the hoop, release time, position on the court, makes and misses, and shot type — such as a catch and shoot versus off the dribble.

Without checking, pretty sure he was a Bartow / Yates recruit, class of 1974. That class included Audie Matthews, Rick Leighty, Rich Adams, and Gerhardt. Also Nate Williams and Mike Washington via JuCo. Not a great class, but an upgrade from Harv's last couple.

Lou inherited NCAA sanctions from a lengthy investigation that started when Harv was still here. Lou was limited to 6 rides his first 2 seasons. 1975 class was Ken Ferdinand and Larry Lubin. 1976: Levi Cobb, Neal Bresnahan, Rob Judson, and Steve Lanter.
Ah yes....you are right. BTW, best player I ever coached against in intramurals was Larry Lubin. He was literally a one man press. Had to use a couple of guys to bring up the ball against his team. And a phenomenal football player as well.

Kylan - 15PPG, Ben - 15PPG, Riley - 10PPG, KJ - 10PPG, Tomislav - 8PPG, Morez - 8PPG, Ty - 8 PPG, Tre - 8PPG, Booth - 5PPG, DGL - 5PPG

This would make it about 90PPG as a team so probably not a very realistic scenario...but this is probably outlines the best case scoring wise...
