The coaches tweaked his mechanics on his release and shot.

They brought in a new shooting system (Noah system) that facially recognizes the players and calculates the depth and shooting angle of each shot so he has elevated his release angle and his accuracy is getting better.

He is shooting 1,500 shots a day while the Noah system captures the ball’s position 30 times per second to provide metrics such as the arc of each shot, the ball’s left-right position and depth within the hoop, release time, position on the court, makes and misses, and shot type — such as a catch and shoot versus off the dribble.
I really hope it’s called the Noah System because it helps you build up your arc

I agree with other posters who see Humichous as a role player, like Goode was (a taller mostly Goode like spot up shooter, less of Bezhanishvili type). He will see fair amount of minutes, but not lead Illini in scoring overall although might in some games. Riley and Booth will take some of his minutes. Different players will lead Illini in scoring from game to game. There is an awful lot of offensive firepower on this team. Everyone can score and balanced scoring will be customary. I hope Underwood utilizes his deep bench and ramps up defensive intensity and offensive movement to wear down opponents. Who starts doesn't even matter much to BU or us as long as we bring home that NC.

I’m terrible at assessing players. So please let me get that out of the way.

But from previous highlights, I’m kinda blown away by KJ’s ability to go right and left nearly ambidextrously.

Anyone else notice that…? I can see him being extremely difficult to stop for that reason.

One of my favorite things in a basketball player, and one that is a really under looked indicator of success, is the ability to drive and finish with both hands. It really opens things up and adds a lot of efficiency.

Developing (or fixing) a shot is not easy, but anyone that doubted Ty greatly underestimated his work ethic…..

I've said since the day we picked up K.J. that he was and is a STUD! My opinion just sky rocketed. Most if not all of these guys in the video could start for any other BIG team. Can't wait for Riley and Ivisic to hit campus. Ivisic is a beast.

Kasparas has been playing at a high level of basketball since he was 12 years old. He can push a left handed layup while he is asleep. He has been drilled and drilled to go to his left side as well as his natural right side.

Watch on the video and study his jump shot and his hand positioning (bilateral) and placement of release. It’s uncanny.

In the 2018-19 Euro U13 league, the 12-year old averaged 21.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.9 steals. He also played in the U14 league that season, and then picked up 19.4 points, 13.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 3.8 steals.

He is playing at a professional level already.

The thought of Ty Rodgers with anything resembling a jumpshot made me feel a certain kind of way…

I need a pipe and a velvet robe.
If Ty developed a jumpshot, you are going to have a hard time getting those away from the Rakshasa.

Ty Rodgers Shooting 1500 Jumpers Per Day!

One of the most elite shooters I have ever seen was Jackie Stiles who shot 1000 shots per day...every day.

If Ty is shooting 1500, he should be able to make over 50%+ on his jumper for the season. That will make him, along with his other Uber talents, an extremely valuable teammate and open things up for all those guys who love to chuck it from the arc. If so, I would expect him to avg. around 10-12 ppg in 25 min. per game. All he needs to do is shoot 3 open jumpers and make a couple, make 3 off garbage rebounds, cuts, and booty ball....and knock down a couple of FTs. Not that hard for a guy of his physical talent, work ethic, experience, and hoops IQ. The Ultimate Teammate.
