Lmao @ all the absolutes thrown around here. The staff "gave up". Ty isn't a PG and never will be. We aren't a complete BB team.

It's a bit. An obnoxious one at that.

I watched all of Jayden Epps last year. The assertion that Ty "can't" be as good as he was as our PG is laughably absurd. Maybe he won't be. Maybe he will be.

To just assume that this is already a burning ember in a dumpster is just stupid.

To be clear, I wish Epps had worked out.
For my hot take, Epps was just ok ( 😮 ), and that Ty ceiling is higher as a BB athlete. Epps did many things for us on a mediocre team. I’m looking for a different brand of coffee. #JFC

They have those type of Craps tables at Vegas casinos now. Won’t be long until both felt and hardwood are relics of a bygone era.

David Robinson and Navy.
I believe they were only E8 not F4, but that is definitely the first I thought of. Ralph Sampson and Virginia came to mind, but I think UVA went to F4 the year after Sampson left too, Maybe they had more talent than I remember.

Wow they came up with something worse than Oregons floor.
The NBA for the extra sponsorship/ad revenue opportunities alone will adopt this. Wonder how the traction/bounce feels compared to hardwood? I feel like overhead projectors could provide a similar feel to that without the need to change up the flooring.
Imagine the home team suddenly changing the graphic in the free throw circle “by mistake” to distract the opponent’s FT shooter w two seconds to go in the game.

Random question:
Is the B1G finally using the same balls used in the NCAA tournament?
I know this was an issue but I can't remember if this was from this past tournament or the year prior.

Not sure where to put this, but Alan Griffin's 2 year old son was discovered dead of natural causes in Champaign by his father.
No foul play is suspected. Prayers to the family.
Wow, that's horrible, and must be hard to take. We miscarried a baby girl 42 years ago today. It's still hard, especially for my wife who had felt movement and kicking. To actually hold and care for one for 2 + years and lose him would be awful.

Won't be long before the court itself will call out of bounds, lane violations, over and back, etc...

I do like the idea of any part of the ball bouncing on the line have the line turn red. It's like having that super follow-the-puck technology but built into the court!

Good to hear he’s been working hard and the team has confidence in him. Not sure that equates to nobody being worried about his jump shot (like they’d say that), but OK. I’m very interested in seeing how well this works out.

And a bone to pick with the writer. Is 8 apg really nearly a triple double? Over the course of the season that’s what 50 or 60 assists below a triple double. Not to mention he gave ppg and rpg out to the tenth, but just wrote eight assists, which leads me to believe he actually rounded up to get to that eight. He had a great senior season. No reason to hype it with a “nearly a triple double” proclamation.

Can't we just be OPTIMISTIC about something for once? I for one, agree that he flirted with a triple double every night. But it's my opinion and if you disagree, that's ok, Im good with that.

What does accuracy have to do with optimism? The writer didn’t say he flirted with a triple double every night. He said he nearly averaged a triple double. And I checked, he did indeed round up on assists to get him to that 8 per game.

I’m optimistic about Ty and that he’ll be at least fine at PG this season and very possibly better than that. I’m also very bullish on him for the future. Sorry if I don’t think him achieving less than 80% in one of the triple double categories constitutes “nearly.” That’s not a knock on what he accomplished, just a knock on the writer’s accuracy. Guess I’m a dying breed that values accuracy.

You know we're in the depths of summer when we're having a sematic disagreement over the word "nearly"
