I am , assuming many others here , breathing a big sigh of relief that we are performing at a higher level so far this year compared to last year.......I know it's only one half against an FCS team , but this sure feels awesome......
many different receivers with speed and sure hands bodes well for the Illini this year.......it's not been that long ago that we had trouble with receivers dropping passes and now we have a stable of fleet and agile WR's that are getting open for Luke to pass to......I'm loving it so far and have my hopes up for a winning season........I really really am........

I was trying to stay cool when they punted on the first drive. Then, when EIU marched down the field, I was thinking about how I would have almost all Saturdays open....but wow, from the fumble onward this is what I expected. We have a good team and it should be a fun season.
We need to be able to pound the ball this half. We should be able to line up with EIU knowing that we're going to run it....and still be able to run it. Guessing that's BB's messaging at halftime.
let's hope for a little bit better performance though this time...
and no end of 1st half game-changing fumbles plaguing us...
I think both O and D first stringers will play a good part of the 3rd.
