As an east coaster, I'm so glad we easily put this thing to bed so I, too, can get some much-needed sleep. A lot to like in that first half. Make it out of the second half healthy and then bring on Kansas.

The TV coverage had some nice things to say about Barry Lunney and Justin Stepp.

Defense was our weakness last year, with too many boneheaded mistakes we never seemed to learn from. The early miscues in this game (dumb penalties, blown coverages, and sloppy tackling) seem to have been addressed aggressively by Henry and staff early and in game, as they have been very sharp after a shaky start. I hope we can maintain that trend against tougher competition as the season progresses. The boys are playing loose, making their reads, and reacting very quickly. Really encouraging.

Some things Luke can clean up but he had a big time half. The back shoulder ball to Bryant was a big time play

Defense is really swarming to the ball. Bailey is in on almost every tackle.

We a have control the LOS on both sides of the ball like we should. Running backs have done a good job with getting up the field
