I really don't. Better? Sure. But fundamentally different? What are those guys gonna do with a crowded lane and no off-ball action?
Tracy is in a deep funk. The shooting slump seems to have gotten in to his head. He desperately needs a couple to go down t regain confidence.

We are slow not very athletic and haven't been taught any type of defense. We get down early because we don't play any defense or shoot well and then try to play hero ball. Can't put it all on the players something is seriously Wrong with the preparation . Mr Whitman please it's time for a change how long can Illini Nation and the folks paying the bills put up with this? We use to be a power house

They all have 1 or 2 things they do exceedingly well...but we lack complete players and our guys have absolutely 0 basketball IQ or toughness. That is all coaching lapses, gotta teach guys how to play smart, can't except poor effort,and have to develop guys to compete. To think this season is on the players is so wrong on many levels. These guys are told to run the worst offense I've ever seen, they do not get their a## chewed out instead its encouragement and hoping for the best. These guys have not been tought how to play the right way and that's all on the coaching staff. I don't care if we sneak into the tournament,we will probably have 6 or 7,blowout losses by the end of the year, including one if we make the big dance somehow: it's time for a change, Groce is just out of his league and every game is just another nail in his coffin. Pathetic.
I think Lucas and Kipper need more playing time, even if they don't do as per plan. Tate is certainly not up to par - great kid. Abrams too is not the quality we need - and, we really cannot move ahead on emotions. I would give Lucas more time and more freedom - I think he has been (like many others) asked to play with one hand tied behind the back. ?????

Bot watching the game but watching the game cast. Big Groce supporter but I'm done. Does anybody think we are a tournament team? Tournament teams don't routinely get blown out every time they go on the road against decent competition. This just isn't acceptable.

It's absolutely mind blowing to think that ILL hasn't been to the Sweet 16 in 12 years assuming things don't go absolutely batty this year.
Btw I do have a feud with Tracy after him and Jaylon Tate and some of their friends lost to my friends and I at the arc 3 years ago he threw a fit and wouldn't leave the court and got in my buddies face over it who completely shut down Tate guarding him.
We have no point guard play, I would say Illinois and Rutgers are the two worst teams in the Big Ten.
