3 assists and 0 turnovers. Just because he’s not hitting shots doesn’t mean he’s hurting us on O… and even if he was… his D far makes up for it.
Trent is our scorer. He’s the guy we go to when we need a big shot or big bucket.

It’s important that he is scoring for us. In addition to playing great defense.

14 point lead at the half........great bounce back game and there is no doubt about the effort today......A lot of what BU has said since the RU game is showing up on the court....renewed confidence led to that Plummer fiasco pass to Grandi for a three tells me we are back where we need to be......

The rotations today by BU will pay off later in the game as we will be fresher than we have been ......I would hope that Trent can hit a few this second half and regain his footing ....

The Illini are playing ELITE defense and it has stymied the gaggers big time..........

Let's start this second half with a run and put them down so far they can't get up .....

Have to disagree. Kofi is much more secure with the ball this year. It is something he’s worked very hard to improve…
Let’s also acknowledge that defenses are just completely collapsing on him this year and he usually has about a second or two before he is double or tripled teamed.

Despite lead, a little nervous at half. A few observations:

1) Izzo complaining about two hip checks by Kofi that were not called fouls. He's right, but screw him. We need Kofi to stay in the game.

2) BBV - can he run the floor? Because if he can, I love his offensive rebounding.

3) Do not let Hawser get open looks at three's ... please

4) Grandy saved us, but we need more balanced scoring in 2nd half.
We shouldn't count on Grandy staying this hot. Somebody else is going to need to start hitting some shots.

I may be being too tough on him, but it seems like a 7'0", 280 lbs, a guard shouldn't be able to strip him going back up as often as they do. The other area that I'm a little disappointed in with him is his ability to finish. When he's TRULY engaged, he dunks everything. He's dominant. When not, he lays it up on the top or tries the use the glass. It's hard to be critical of a guy averaging 20/10, but I honestly think he can be better.

I was going to make a grumpy observation earlier that Jake might have been better-served by getting some sleep 2-4 a.m. after returning from Rutgers than chucking up threes at Ubben.

Then again, what the he!! do I know?!
I wish he kept shooting after making the one but he passed up the shot on the next possession in the Rutgers game
Keep on shooting till you miss

MSU has always defended Kofi well. If we can get a few threes from players other than Grandison we should be in good shape.

I would say you're both right. He's improved immensely. And yet he's still got pretty poor hands.
You and I are watching different games. You don’t become a legit candidate for national player of the year with “poor hands.” SMH

75% of the time they strip him because they are catching more of his body than the ball.

If you want a picture of the 2H, imagine an orange boot stomping on Sparty's face -- forever.

There was an interesting great pass by Kofi in first half. I am certain this came from BU watching the Iowa Michigan game the other night (he watches a lot of basketball). Dickerson dribbled away from the double team down one baseline and pivoted and turned (now having created space for himself) and fired a pass to the open guy in the other corner. Wide open.

RJ hasn't score and Coleman hit a good look but I am fine because they are playing ok and not forcing things making multiple mistakes. Coleman had some solid plays and RJ is fighting over the top of screens .

I hope Belo plays more because I feel he gets guys better looks
