This game seems so eerily similar to last one. We scored 34 in the first half of the other outing too.

So be ready to score 22 this half, tear your hair out and win in a very close game 😋

Well, I shorted Grandy 2 threes. Now here’s hoping the back half of my prediction is well off.

Defense. Boards. Turnovers. That’s why we are winning this game. Despite Jake’s hot hand, we still shot pretty poorly, but you can survive (hell, thrive) a poor shooting night when you play solid D. I expect a Sparty run in the 2nd half, so we’ll need to shoot better too, but I will take that defensive 20 minutes every day and twice on Sunday.

We got lucky at the end, but you can be sure Izzo is going to lay into them in the locker room. I think coaches have figured out Kofi somewhat. Also, it's not that we are playing really well, we should be up a lot, but it's that MSU is BAD. Really hope we learned how to finish and walk out of here with a W.

They have to figure out a way to get TF going. He's actually hurting them offensively. They really go how he goes. Thankfully Grandi is unconscious right now from the arc.

This may not be a popular opinion, but Kofi is so soft with the ball. He brings the ball down, gets stripped or he's all thumbs. When he gets the ball, back the basket and can go right, he's very, very effective. Getting a cheap put back doesn't happen. The ball always comes down.
I agree. I have a theory that when Kofi was coming up playing ball, some coach somewhere told Kofi to not just rely on his size and strength to finish. There’s many times where simple bully ball can work so well for him, but instead tries to get into a motion dribble or some kind of post move when he doesn’t need it.

Have to disagree. Kofi is much more secure with the ball this year. It is something he’s worked very hard to improve…

Agreed. On top of being obnoxious and ignorant , he is also a complete moron.

In June 2003, Williams crashed his Yamaha motorcycle into a streetlight in Chicago. He wasn’t wearing a helmet, nor did he have a motorcycle license in Illinois. Additionally, he violated his Bulls contract that prohibited him from riding motorcycles.

The point guard suffered a severed nerve in his leg, a fractured pelvis, and three torn ligaments in his knee, including his ACL. Williams underwent intense physical therapy to regain the use of his left leg; leaving his basketball career in peril.

Lucky for him, ESBSPN caters to these former Duke players.
Moral of this story is that the Bulls should draft their future stars in the 2nd round!!

3 assists and 0 turnovers. Just because he’s not hitting shots doesn’t mean he’s hurting us on O… and even if he was… his D far makes up for it.

Every post entry to Kofi needs to be in the center of the paint. Several times we entered it to him on the wing which just doesnt work.

Trent has gotten Grandison 3 wide open threes. I'll take his playmaking ability within the offense and the calmness he brings when handling the ball.

Despite lead, a little nervous at half. A few observations:

1) Izzo complaining about two hip checks by Kofi that were not called fouls. He's right, but screw him. We need Kofi to stay in the game.

2) BBV - can he run the floor? Because if he can, I love his offensive rebounding.

3) Do not let Hawser get open looks at three's ... please

4) Grandy saved us, but we need more balanced scoring in 2nd half.

I would say you're both right. He's improved immensely. And yet he's still got pretty poor hands.

Know a run is coming, bad calls are inevitable. Exactly what a team hoping for a long tourney run will need to be able to weather. Big 2nd half boys!

Imagine you’re the big ten commissioner and you have a generational center like Kofi and you let other teams shut him down by just fouling and you never have the stones to tell the officials to call the foul. Pathetic.
