2024-25 College Football Coaching Carousel

Unreal. The guy was gifted a B1G head coaching job, and he'll lose it not for being a bad coach (which he clearly is), but because he couldn't keep Little Ryan in his pants. I worked at the executive level in higher ed for a long time, and I always knew that any interaction with a female employee could cost me my job. I never commented on their looks, their dress, and never, ever, intiated a hug or even patted them on the back. RW should have known that this behavior (if true) is the best way to be fired for cause, and to void his buyout. Dumb.

However, this could mean that Corey Bradford is available again. Shoud BB bring him back?

I'm not interested in taking anybody back who jumped ship to follow Walters to Purdue. It's become abundantly clear that Walters is a piece of work, and anyone who wasn't aware of that or who didn't care has demonstrated they have questionable judgment.

Rumor on Purdue Reddit is Walters is gone soon, for cause, supposedly there is a confirmed affair with a staff member.

No clue if it’s true.

Yeah man, BB's post-Purdue game presser makes it fairly clear he's not interested in bringing any of that cohort back.

Wait! What?!!!
I didn’t know that & I’m sure it was a well kept secret . But suffice to say there is nothing new under the sun . People are people and that doesn’t change .

It’s sad that if indeed true , he likely didnt learn his lesson . That likely will be used to eliminate or cut his buyout WAY down .

I agree totally with your first paragraph
But I have no idea what you are referring to in your second paragraph

No

Thad is a well respected coach. The only changes we make to the staff is if someone gets promoted away externally I would imagine.

Saban lost to UL- Monroe in his first year there
I don’t think AL will fire head coach, but completely different situation. David Shula was barely over .500 on the field at AL (worse record than that with vacated wins). Following Saban and his success is a whole different ballgame.

It’s crazy how these guys making serious money let their wandering “eye” mislead them (if true) both in their professional and personal life. No loyalty personally, nor professionally.

This is the part that gets me. I know that it really comes down to power (and having your cake and eating it, too), but how hard is it to respect your spouse enough to cut things off before starting something with someone new? Unless I'm misremembering and he doesn't have a wife and young kids.
