Didn't realize B1G refs were assigned to this final.
I'm not sure that I've ever seen a game where the refs were this involved this early in a game. We've all seen games where they try to set a tone by keeping it clean early, but this is just.....bad.

So far the women's tournament is proving similar things to the men's tournament. Shooting is more important than size.
South Carolina was one of the biggest, most physical teams I've ever seen but they couldn't shoot from the outside and lost because Iowa just packed the paint. LSU can shoot and looks ready to break the game open.

LSU looks like a real team. Iowa looks like a team being carried by one player.
Very disappoint in this for championship game, bad refs, the group that is giving analysis is sold on themself, along with most of us critical of the refs too. Yet they are critical when the refs made a few good calls. Can't figure that out, they are sad and not building up womens basketball. What has been a great tournament so far got stuck with a stinker of a first half. Lets hope it gets closer and interesting in second half.

They lost me, refs took the key players out of the game and no one can beat a team that chucks up threes at a 75% rate.

U are right, but I would give some credit to at least two other Iowa players, but even then Clark makes even those two relevant
for all the talk of girl's games being clean pure basketball - i thought that in Nov-Feb but dismissed the notion in Mar: in BTN tourny and NCAA tourny, the refs let some teams beat up other teams. SC beat up the heck of MD all game long with no fouls - it was more brutal than any mens game. They bullied IA from the start.
the refs were really bad in first 5 minutes today and maybe worse the next 5-7.
today, LSU should have had 20 fouls in first quarter, they called a phantom foul on Clark, questionable on Monica. LSU can bully on defense and offense
Yes LSU played great 2Q but only because of what refs called and didn't call in 1Q.
Other than the IN game, the 5 home games I went to this year were very clean and contact was called. IN fouled the heck out of us with no calls. Away games - MI and MD bullied us.
also LSU coach in first half was 1-3 feet into the court much of the game .... several times out to nearly halfcourt protesting calls. where's the T
