St Louis Cardinals 2026

Torres uses his sweet stroke to put the Cardinals up 3-2 with his 2nd smashed tater of the year.........

Earlier , Burleson hit an opposite field and Walker drilled a heat seeking missile to drive Burly in.......

Conversely , Gorman now in a 3-38 streak with 19 K's.......wow.......

Burly doubled and Walker doubled him in........missed from an earlier post........my bad................

Some real baseball analysis going on the TV side today.
Chip: "Brad"? "What do you serve at a pity party"?
Brad: "Coleslaw".
At least it’s tv! Remember listening to radio games with Shannon. He would start telling his story and you wouldn’t have a clue what was going on in the game.

This just makes me so sad. I really had huge hopes for Gorman. What could have been...

One of the KTRS hosts this past week suggested Cardinals should try and do a trade involving Gorman similar to the Lankford/Woody Williams trade from the early 2000s. Only issue is that you'd have to find a team willing to take a chance on Gorman.

{ 35-28 }

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweeper-rooski !!!!!!...................Cardinals comeback again from a 2-0 deficit with grit and determination to finish a 6-3 homestand with a 5-3 victory today..............

McGreevy with another Quality Start going 6 IP , 5 H , 2 ER , 0 W , 5 K's..........wish he could have gotten the win............
O'Brien gets his 17th save.............

Walker 2-5 , 1 R , 1 RBI......
Torres 1-3 . 1 R , 2 RBI's 1 HR.............
Velasquez 1-1 , 1 R .....big hit in bottom of 8th to keep rally going......
Wetherholt , Nootbaar and Scott all had 2 walks apiece..............

on to the Big Apple with a series against the Mets starting on Tuesday..................

LET'S GO CARDINALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I enjoy listening to the duo of Rooney and Horton. I believe last Sunday evening the the Cardinals were on Peacock which I do not pay for. And I decided to go to the local drive-in for supper. While there I listened to Cardinal broadcast. After I finished supper I drove around town for another 45 minutes listening to the broadcast. I know that I could have gone home and turned on the radio. However, there is nothing like being on the road in your car or truck listening to Cardinal baseball. I agree with the other poster (and I have said it before) Chip and Sweeny are ok together, but there is something about Thompson's flippant delivery which bothers me. I view Thompson as just some sort of Cardinal fanboy. And I will concede that many Cardinal fans want that kind of announcer.

Rooney and Horton have really found their groove as a team on radio. And honestly, I think Horton is better suited for that role as opposed to being on TV (at least aside from pre/post-game work). Some of the long running bits they do (like the pick-to-click (which I know is technically taken from the Sox), the attendance game where Horton manages to guess it correctly every time, etc.) are great.

On a side note though, the Cardinals game last Sunday was on your local NBC affiliate so you could have watched it on there though I get the point you're making.

I do agree that Thompson seems to be on there to be basically pro-Cardinals and nothing else. But his whole shtick aside from that gets very tired very quick.

Walker hits # 16 smashed tater making it 5-4 Reds going to top 6th......he ties his career season high in HR's......so glad to see him finally unlocking his immense potential.............it really really is............
He's also batting over .300, which in modern baseball is extremely rare. Got 47 rbi too. Clearly he's getting it figured out now; what a future for this guy!

I think his back is more cooked than they're letting on. Approaching 2 full seasons of PAs at well below league average batting line - he's definitely getting non-tendered this off season.

Ok. I did a Google search it is said no. I have no vested interest one way or the other.
I did a second search now it says yes. Dumb AI.
Fox 2 news also says he does. I will believe them.
My apologies.

A plane on its way to pick up Yadi and his family crashed. The two pilots were killed. Very sad.
