Makes sense. Thanks!Pretty sure that was for the Moore tribute, as coaches on both teams had commemorative neckties. Whether they carry it forward or not, I don't know.

Agree, I think this is one of the main factors. There could also be some social factors at play. Higher prices might attract more of a "white collar" crowd that isn't as loud.Generally agree. It's not all on the Krush. But seeing as how they (by virtue of being in the Krush in the first place) sort of have agreed to be the noisemakers and fan cheerleaders, I do expect more out of them.
Outside the Krush / students, I wonder if the crowd skews older (and therefore quieter) than it used to, due to the economics of ticket prices. My 2 tickets for the Madison game were over $300 before StubHub fees. In my 50s I can spend that for a special occasion, in my 20s or 30s I would not have. Conversely, in my 50s I also do not have the energy or voice I had in my 20s. And we all succumb to our phones now, regardless of age.
Me, too. And I'm gonna move my Marcus Domask action figure around to simulate play.I think I'm gonna go old school on this one and listen to the radio broadcast
Are you thinking 89 Illini or 2004 Illini?91-72 Illini win
And move my Marcus Domask action figure around to simulate play. Got Kendall Gill and Kenny Battle bubbleheads, too!
Wooden always said be quick but don't hurrySo, there is slow…and there is patient. If Marcus actually were slow and unathletic he 1) would be getting abused on defense 2) would not be able to finish at the rim with either hand at a high rate of efficiency, and would not be able to hit that fall-away shot with regularity over taller defenders.
I’ll admit I was wrong. I thought he’d be the perfect glue guy for a good high-major team. He is more than that. This team is so much fun to watch!
Along with the corporate skyboxes, premier seating, club rooms, etc. These sections are heavily 'white-collar' and not loud at all.Agree, I think this is one of the main factors. What Marcus is, is smart. He realizes that he doesn't have that quick twitch blow by ability. Other players have to rely on it to get to the rim for an uncontested layup or dunk. Domask has learned how to score over and around smaller and bigger opponents using his body and angles. Just think if TSJ had that game to add to his and Marcus had Shannon's athleticism. They would both be lottery picks. So, there is slow…and there is patient. I did watch him play at SIU several games the last 4 years, and to me, he stood out. I've seen a lot of basketball in my lifetime and some kids just have the "It" factor. I told a friend this summer that I wished Illinois would come looking for MD. I'm glad they did!!Everything that Marcus does just looks abnormally 'slow' to the naked eye. If I'd watched him play at SIU the prev 4 years I'd probably have serious doubts his game would translate to major conf play.
He just looks slow because he is never rushed or sped up. When coaches say the game is slow for a certain player this is partially what they mean.Everything that Marcus does just looks abnormally 'slow' to the naked eye. Looks like the Krush? is lining up at SFC: https://www.wcia.com/memorial-stadium-cam/ (go full screen)
Kind of reminds me of the way Luka (Doncic) playsHe just looks slow because he is never rushed or sped up. When coaches say the game is slow for a certain player this is partially what they mean.
We should really lower the quality of the school so that alums don’t get good jobs anymore and ruin the vibeAlong with the corporate skyboxes, premier seating, club rooms, etc. These sections are heavily 'white-collar' and not loud at all.
not to mention his post game:Kind of reminds me of the way Luka (Doncic) plays

Alright, I'm not a doubter of Marcus. I didn't call him overall slow. I called his 3 point shot slow. I love his game, but his 3 point shot is undoubtedly slower than most.Marcus just grins at the doubters...
This has me LOLing. I dont say that unless it actually happened. Is it asking too much for a Domask bobble butt commemorative figurine? Booty Ball forever!
I don't know if you're talking about his shot motion, but when he releases the ball (from 3), it looks like it doesn't have nearly enough oomph to make it to the basketAlright, I'm not a doubter of Marcus.
