My biggest hot take from this one is that maybe televised exhibition scrimmage are a bad idea.

Saying that we're a tournament team rn is an absolute lie. and we likely won't be for the entire first half of the year. highly likely we start out with 5+ losses in our first 12 (games before 2025).
going to need a strong finish to get into tourney conversation.
Whether a team is a "tournament team" doesn't matter until the end. We need to have one of the best 40ish resumes at the end of the season. We don't need to be playing like one of the best 40ish teams during exhibition season. The end is not all that matters. The whole season matters.
In the short term, yes, but it’d be one hell of a recruiting boost if we can have more Illini in the league. At this juncture a 5th yr Marcus D > KJ
I agree tha KJ is a huge plus long term and will work it out.In the short term, yes, but it’d be one hell of a recruiting boost if we can have more Illini in the league.
Yeah, no one has that much cred. But some write like they doWait you're supposed to have credibility on here before rambling for 8 paragraphs? Woops
Agreed. Nobody ever learned anything by being right all the time . . . Except for me, of course.Setbacks are the best teacher. So I think this exhibition worked out well. No, I don't want the Illini to lose, but .... setbacks are the best teacher.
We're 0-0
some call that "undefeated"Setbacks are the best teacher. So I think this exhibition worked out well. No, I don't want the Illini to lose, but .... setbacks are the best teacher.
