Terrence Shannon Jr. drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves (1st Round, 27th Pick).

Quincy Guerrier signed an exhibit-10 deal with the Toronto Raptors.

Marcus Domask signed an exhibit-10 deal with the Chicago Bulls.

So seems like the Bulls are finally giving up on their hopeless roster.

Good news. Better news if it moves Ayo into a more stable, featured role, which it has always taken other people's injuries to secure for himself thusfar.

Sad that I missed all the Bronny talk last night in the Draft thread.

Just found it funny that his heart condition was brought up several times as an excuse for his poor college performance, and therefore we should be nice about his getting drafted now. So that condition magically goes away in the NBA?

Occam's Razor: don't draft someone with a heart condition, regardless of his daddy.

Lakers remember drafting in top 3 in lottery 3 straight years. LeBron at least gets them in the playoffs. They are scared to let him go, but father time is undefeated.

Yeah, it is pretty silly to defend drafting him. He was 107th in 247's transfer portal rankings. If LeBron is trying to help his kid, he might have been better going undrafted and being hired as a free agent. Now he is locked into the Lakers. We'll see if they actually offer him a contract.

Well, at least Bronny will be down the road at UCLA for the South Bay Lakers in the G-League . . .

Drafting is extremely subjective in late 2nd round. Probably get 30 different playets st #55. Lakers chose to keep LeBron happy and Bronny is a draftable prospect. Most late 2nd rounders are not keepers, not much to lose or gain.

Let’s hope Bronny , uh... ‘Gets Busy’ real soon so that in 18 years his own son can be drafted by the Lakers and the Purple and Gold can send out the very first NBA Grandfather-Son-Grandson team in NBA history.

Look, the NBA these days is more about Entertainment than it is about basketball. It’s about marketing and expanding its World footprint. So this is a natural.

And with A. I. taking over the World, they can roll out an AI version of Chick Hearn and ‘he’ can carry the call of this new family-centered version of ‘Showtime’ for a Planet hungry for a good story.

2013 was a terrible NBA draft, Anthony Bennet was #1. The top 10 is awful as well, some servicable back-up players. Giannis (#15) and Gobert (low 1st rouund/high second round) were drafted lower in the draft as prospects. Not a lot of double digit scorers, some very bad picks in those high 1st round selections (embarrasing level).

Bulls bringing back Patrick Williams on a 5-year, $90 million deal with the 5th year being a player option.

Bulls look like they're going with a full youth movement with their roster (Williams turns 23 in August; Coby White is 24 and Josh Giddey is 21). K.C. Johnson seems to think the Bulls will either let DeRozan walk or move him in a sign-and-trade while also working to trade Zach LaVine.

My first thought was: Ayo got $21 million for 3 years, Williams got $90 million for 5 years. Hope Ayo gets that kind of money soon.

Easy enough to explain. PWill is a 3-and-D guy. He shot 41% from 3 last season before the injury.

He will. Ayo was at the low ebb of his career thus far when he signed that contract. He improved a lot last year and has a long career ahead of him.

No other team would have offered him an AAV like that. He isn't a difference making player now and despite his youth I don't believe in his growth potential at all.

The Bulls had the patience to allow Coby White to twist in the wind looking for other offers and locked him down to an extremely team-friendly deal, the single best asset the Bulls currently possess.

But this front office drafted PWill, so they are deluding themselves into believing he has market value that he emphatically does not.

5/90 isn't crippling at all in the current market, it's nothing to overreact about, but it's redolent of the way this administration constantly mis-values its own players.
