What is Kofi up to lately?
Pardon to differ...I saw a lot of good things there. I want him back too.Man, that was interesting to watch.
I love Kofi, really do, he is one of the rarest physical specimans I've ever seen. He is just huge. But...and I say this knowing that he is basically doing guard drills there, you can see why he is going to be a late second rounder to undrafted. He just hasn't been playing long enough. The perimeter skills are non existent. The ball handling. The shot isn't there, the lateral quickness to switch on guards. He just isnt fluid enough.
He is what Jahlil Okafor has become. A huge man who can score in the post and nothing else.
Simply for draft stock, if he comes back he is going to be fed constantly from a great player is Curbelo. He could easily be 20 and 10 next year, maybe more.
A Junior Cockburn, coming off of a 20 and 10 year with a least a little bit of improvement in his passing, his free throw ability and flexibility, probably goes late 1st to early 2nd next year. It is worth it for him to come back to Illinois for one more year.
Sadly, I don't know if he or the folks around him feel the same.
The crazy part is, Okafor was far superior coming into college. His post offensive game was very advanced, whereas Kofi just dominates due to sheer size.Man, that was interesting to watch.

Is there a sign-up on the gym wall or somewhere for this if he doesn't want it? I'm 5'11" and as round as a basketball, but can step out and hit the 3 or rebound my own missed layup if nobody is around.do you think Kofi would be interested in a fringe bench position that pays $50,742,389?
Gotta agree. Timme was clearly much better in those drills and he is projected as a second rounder in 2022. This just isn't Kofi's game nor do I really think he needs it in his game. To be in the NBA he needs to be able to move quicker laterally to defend the high ball screen. Defense is really where he needs to improve to make it in the NBA. Offensively he is already pretty good in the pick and roll. Better passing would be a plus to help him but I don't think he needs to really develop an outside shot. Better FT shooting wouldn't hurt obviously.Man, that was interesting to watch.

I think age is a big thing for him. He's going to be 22 in September. If he wants to guarantee himself the longest career possible, I don't think he can sacrifice a year of his physical prime *not* playing in the pros. Hopefully he can get a two-way contract with a good org, develop the shot, and work on his body to get more agile.I don't think that there is any question that Kofi will have to develop more of these skills to be an everyday NBA guy.
The question is can he develop them here as a B1G 5, banging old school in BU's offense....or is he better served taking a chance on developing them in the league as a low 2nd rounder, UFA, or Euro ball.
My personal opinion, another year here with more running, passing (hopefully), and maybe some wrinkles in the spread offense, and working another off season as he is now, positions him for a guaranteed contract in 2022 and a solid foundation to build the skillset he needs for a stable career in the NBA.
See: Ayo Dos
He's still just 5-6 years into the game...which is crazy if you think about it.
Imagine picking up a sport...and then 5 years later trying to qualify at the highest level in the world.
All the crazy hot takes that he "is who he is" and can't develop any more are just mind numbingly stupid.
2 way contract in NBA not going to happen for Kofi with his limited skill set. If Ayo projected around 24-28 there is no way Kofi lands in top 60 unless something drastic changes. Timme looked way better & he probably wont get drafted.I think age is a big thing for him. He's going to be 22 in September. Ayo also wasn't a projected draft pick after his second season. Timme has nowhere near the physical traits Kofi does so of course he might look better in a ball handling drill. The continued development of his rim protection, ball handling, and passing this next season might be enough for a NBA scout to grab him in the 2nd and from there anything can happen. He needs to take notes from Ayo, everything scouts said he needed to improve on he did, that's what scouts want to see.2 way contract in NBA not going to happen for Kofi with his limited skill set. Timme looked pretty good in the Big Dance too, not just ball handling drills.Ayo also wasn't a projected draft pick after his second season. Taco Fall says hi.2 way contract in NBA not going to happen for Kofi with his limited skill set. If Ayo projected around 24-28 there is no way Kofi lands in top 60 unless something drastic changes. Timme looked way better & he probably wont get drafted.
I hope you're wrong.Taco Fall better than Kofi.
Sarcasm- hope that is wrong too!I hope you're wrong.
He has a great stroke...his FT shooting was baffling...always thought if he shot more from chest on FTs he would improve.A side we didn't see. Wish him well! Bangers are not easy to come by. BIG reason we ended up at #2 in the polls before tourney. Watch the video...forget the seconds...he made 138 in a row!

We’re saying Kofi made 138 3s in a row?
I only counted 137, Nutt I appreciate your efforts, but up early and in bed late may not be great for your recovery.A side we didn't see. Wish him well! Bangers are not easy to come by.
