Illinois vs Eastern Illinois, Monday, November 4th, 7:00pm CT, B1G+

KJ flirts with a triple double.
Deron was the third leading scorer on the 2005 team. I like to see KJ utilize all the offensive talent on this team and not be drawn into numerous 2v2 (high pick and roll). Use that as one of many tools.

I'm looking forward to the yearly Illini "guy who won't get regular conference minutes puts in 25 on opening night and gets an unreasonable amount of hype".
I’m hoping for DGL… again. But with the chance it’s real this year.

My post was largely in jest overall, but I do honestly get the vibe that when Adam Miller pulled this off his freshman year and then wasn't the featured guard the rest of the year, that's why his camp was so dead set on leaving. Similarly with DGL last year, there were members of his camp urging him to transfer because he did a thing against Eastern Illinois and then Illinois somehow held him back the rest of the year with zero contextual perception

I seriously anticipate KJ going for something like 15-10-8, with a Carey Booth or Jake Davis going for 20 when it's a 30 point game midway through the second half.

For my personal viewing tastes, I appreciate BTN+ as I get to watch Coach Shauna Green and the exciting Fighting Illinois Womens Basketball team. It seems that the majority of their games are on BTN+

My initial thought honestly was that you were talking about Eastern. Seems we lose one every year because some bench scrub puts up 25 points (not that I'm expecting that this week).

I'll take the scenario you actually meant as the lesser of two evils.
