Tomisiav - 12 ppg. Booth 10 ppg. White- 14 ppg. Kasparas- 15ppg. Kylan 10 ppg. Johnson - 10 ppg. Ty- 6 ppg. DGL - 6 ppg. Davis - 6 ppg. Ben - 13 ppg.

it looks like we will average 102 points per game next year. Even with the most pessimistic Illini family member, can you see anyone standing a chance against us next year?

Ben?

Assuming the smoke signals are indeed for Kasparas, I found it interesting that the Sleepers Podcast men were fairly lukewarm on him. Of course they weren’t high on Marcus last year either.

"can you see anyone standing a chance against us next year?" Seriously? There will be plenty of teams with as much or more talent than us.

Oh and Humichrous has as good a chance as anyone to be our leading scorer.

And I'm not penciling in Kasparas yet, as he hasn't committed to us.

Those two are more focused on quantity vs quality with their content production.

They can be entertaining and I admire the volume of videos they put out- but they are far from scouts- they are literally just fans giving their opinion based on a video or two

Also it was before this last Euro tournament - they literally questioned his vision and passing as average - then he put up 17 assists and was first team all tourny

we got a good one

Are they the Mich and Mich State guys? If so, I wouldn't put too much stock in their talent judgment. They though Zach Perrin was an absolute nothing. Turns out he was quite talented. Unfortunately didn't stick with us.

They have not said anything good about Illinois this year. Ranked us 16th in the league. Podcast is worthless. I quit watching them.

Those Sleepers Media people...

Funny how a person commented on that video of theirs telling them how he thinks they suck and that he thinks they read this board. lol I didn't know this board was so famous.

Think it's pretty clear they read this board. Every time there's noise on here about us heavily targeting someone, they make a video about it - they did it with Egor, Tomislav, and Kasparas.

All those guys know about EuroBall is draft boards and YT highlights...Literally nothing else...

If your putting stock into what they think about Kasparas...and judging him off of that...

Don't forget Morez our super freshman. He's going to get some quality minutes.

We're all going to feel like fools once we learn that Coleman is just setting us up for a soft landing when he withdraws and announces he's headed to USC with Musselman. "It doesn't count because they're new to the B1G and he already had a recruiting relationship with their new coach"
If he lands there so be it. I'd rather have Him there than Indiana or SCUM.

I do love the Kasparas pickup if/when it happens, though if he is the only pickup and we keep 2 openings into the season, I am somewhat nervous about our perimeter defense and I think teams with quick guards might cause us some major issues. If we assume Boswell, Ivisic, Humrichous, and Kasparas all start, outside of Ivisic, Kasparas might have the highest defensive upside, but he's also young and will likely have some struggles and be foul prone. Humrichous looks to be a minus defender and Boswell might be around average- he was slightly less than that last year. Makes me think that with no other additions, Ty almost certainly would need to be the 5th starter just for the perimeter defense and rebounding he'll bring. And if he has some better body control and finishing this year, I like him rotating down low while Ivisic goes out for three and Humrichous finds the gap for Boswell and Kasparas to deliver the ball to the best option.

Boswell
Jakucionis
Rodgers
Humrichous
Ivisic

with

White
Johnson
Booth/DGL
getting 15+ off the bench

Seems like a solid team, though we're going to be pretty sensitive to foul trouble on the perimeter and teams with fast experienced guard are going to cause some headaches. May have our fair share of shootouts this year.
